Macron cementing his status as a c**t.

How can you 'punish' someone for choosing not to take a vaccine for their own reasons!?

Seriously, what kind of f**ked up world are we living in now!?

Can you define 'f**kwits' overloading the Health Services? Do you know the reason why every single one of the unvaccinated are unvaccinated? I know I don't, but well done you for casting aspersions upon everyone that isn't jabbed.

I didn't know we were in Nazi Germany.

When I went for my booster, I was told that AstraZeneca was not being used at all for the booster jabs. Even though I only had my first jab at the end of March, I am Pfizer x3

A fine policy. When do we start applying it to fatties, and smack heads, and winos and lifelong chain smokers?

Almost exactly 50% of people currently admitted to hospital with Covid are classed as obese. When are we telling them they can't go to the cinema or a pub until they've lost weight?

Think that's party because it's easier store and move AZ, therefore gift AZ to other parts of the globe and use up the other vaccines first given we have plenty....

  12. None of those things are contagious. The only thing that can affect others is smoking, and that is prohibited in most situations.

  13. How many people do you think are medically exempt? Vanishingly small. My sister in law is anti Vax, she won't let my very vulnerable brother get vaxxed, or their daughter, she won't even let them do LFTs. She's a ****wit. She believes every nutcase theory going. She thinks Dr Fauci wants to kill everyone. If we were to grant exemption to people with genuine medical reasons, I take it you'd be okay with a strict vaccine passport regime?

You have my sympathies regarding your Brother and Niece, your Sister-in-law does sound like an idiot BUT only because she won't 'allow' her family to make their own CHOICE!! Not because of her view. That's her own view, but she shouldn't be trying to brainwash or coerce people into believing what she believes. That's essentially what others are trying to do for those that have decided not be vaccinated. Be that due to the speed of the vaccination and therefore less trust in the longer term implications medically or they don't feel the need to be vaccinated against something that kills 0.1% of the population.

It's people's choices, and that choice shouldn't be taken away from them, whether that's people that want to be vaccinated or not.

If your Brother wants to be vaccinated why can't he be? I presume your Niece is of an age where she can be vaccinated? Again, why can't she be vaccinated if she's old enough to make her own decisions? (Providing she's old enough).

I am pro choice, certainly not an anti-vaxxer.

I think we should remember that, in this country at least, the number of flat earth, conspiracy theory extreme anti-vaxxers are relatively few. The bulk of unvaccinated people will be in the “I’m not sure/I can’t be bothered/I’ll be alright” categories. These people could mostly be persuaded given the right carrot or stick policies; it’s just a question of how far we are prepared to go with that.

  16. She is already permanently estranged from her mother and the rest of her family. My brother has a choice - his health or his marriage.

But all of them put a massively disproportionate burden on the health service at cost to responsible people. I’m not convinced something not being contagious should disqualify it.

You have my utmost sympathy as we have one of these fruitcakes in our extended family too. My brother-in-law’s ex wife is an anti vaxxer. Her loop the loop views also extend to not allowing the two kids she shares with him to do any kind of Covid test or wear masks. We have a family lunch on Sunday to celebrate my daughter’s 18th birthday, which these two “step cousins” were invited to. Because my dad is starting cancer treatment at the end of the month, we decided it would be prudent for everyone to do a LFT before meeting. This woman won’t allow either of the kids to do one. I honestly can’t put into words how low my opinion is of this woman and her similarly anti-vax boyfriend.

Sorry to hear about your father’s cancer. I presume this woman and step cousins are therefore banned from attending ?

Thanks Tut. Well, the woman wasn’t invited anyway as she’s nothing to do with our direct family but, yes, the children have been told they can’t come if they don’t test. They are 12 and 15. The 12 year old has unfortunately been brainwashed by her mother and so buys into all the anti vax ******** (the mother is so loopy that she also took this child out of school 3 months ago to “homeschool” her, which seems to involve going for walks in the woods and calling it “Geography” - no formal tutoring or learning whatsoever); the 15 year old, though, would happily test but isn’t allowed to - he got into trouble with his mum when she found a mask in the pocket of his school uniform, which he’d obviously been wearing there as required.

Haha! No arguments from me on that - but the lack of any Maths or English tutoring is a disaster; particularly since this is (or, was, at it soon will be) a bright little girl with an appetite to learn.

So sad when someone with extreme views brainwashes their kids into isolating themselves from the mainstream. Really tough on the kids and can affect them for life. Not quite the same but my ex wife has done the same with our kids to some extent causing them to cut me out of their lives for the last 15 years, even getting the CSA involved couldn't help. Kids tend to just believe what their parents tell them and aren't given the chance to challenge/ question.

And LA's are very quick in helping you officially deregestering a child. Reregestering that child is very different matter.

This is extremely common in 'my' SEN world particularly if the child's parent(s) have/has LD's.

Usually it's sold as a means to stop the mounting fines for unauthorised absence. And pikey kids when they've had "...enough..." schooling.

One of my friends decided to home school one of their kids. It’s their life obviously and I’m not privy to all the finer details, but as far as I could tell the kid didn’t like going back to school after summer/Xmas holidays so they decided to home school them, they were about 7 at the time. To me it seemed they gave in to the will of their child far too easily and far too early.

That old chestnut of the chasm of difference between "parents wanting what's best for the children's education" and "parents knowing what's best for the children's education"...
