Looks like we're targeting young, mobile centre backs who can also play at full back as I'd imagine that'll help Mazzarri mix up his formations during games.
No. 1 - Is he better than what we've got? Not sure. A better defender than Paredes, better than 2016 Nyom but not nearly as good as 2015 Nyom. Which is the real Nyom? No. 2 - If he really is an upgrade, do we want a loan player? Yes, if it's try-before-you-buy; yes, if we've failed to get a permanent upgrade on Nyom or Paredes before the new season starts. Otherwise, no. No. 3 - How desperate are we for another HG player? Depends on how things look by the beginning of August. So I'd be disappointed if we move for him now, but he might be the right answer once Mazza has assessed his squad and the club have made their early moves.
He would be a great signing. Whilst good as a wing back, he would also be great as the outside central defender in a 352. I know that Wenger feels his future is at centre back.
Would be great signing. Has hadvthe benefit of top class coaching at Southampton and Arsenal and is already a full England International.
The first point is fair. The last isn't, considering he was called up for England a month after Arsenal signed him only because Arsenal signed him and his international career is 9 minutes against Norway and games against San Marino and Estonia. Where clearly he was that ****ing bad that he was dumped down in the Under 21's. Another example of a young player getting railroaded into the England squad whilst too young and inexperienced and suffering because of it. If Arsenal don't want him they can sell him at a cheap price. Don't want to loan ****ing Arsenal players who we never see again after a season. Helping those ****s should be bottom of the agenda.
I think he is a very decent young player . Not good enough for England but defo good enough for us , although he's always going to be playing second fiddle to someone of Parades quality.
As the comment on the article says: Headline - 'Gunners dismiss Calum Chambers Watford loan transfer speculation despite Hornets' interest' Article - 'Gunners make no statement whatsoever and Calum Chambers is on holiday'
woops...I was just going off what someone posted on twitter. Should have probably actually read the article, my bad.
Good. Didn't want the second-rate gooner, snake-in-the-nest anyway. Second rate James Chambers anyway, I heard.
I'm pretty sure Ass Nail would want assurances that he'd get plenty of game time, and with all the quality defensive options we've now got I don't see that happening
You want him. We got him. Callum Chambers gonna change your mind. He's got your, your pistol, callum Chambers gonna change your mind
I have a feeling can also play CB so could be with the idea of playing one of the three instead of Lombaerts.
LENS 1-0 ARSENAL (Autret 38) "Disaster for Calum Chambers! He heads a long ball upfield right into Zoubir's path and he homes in on goal but Martinez gets a palm to his dinked shot. The rebound spills to Autret though and the 25-year-old has an open goal to steer into and can't miss. A clumsy goal for Arsenal to give away." Oh well, onto the next one.

Why we haven't yet done: "You know that I could use somebody, you know that I could use somebody, someone like Capoue" is beyond me.
