Lions did well this pm. Beat warthogs 1-0 ! Mum with 2 young ambushed. 4 blood thirsty trucks accelerated to the scene. We saw it all unfold and drove away as soon as it happened. After about 10 safari holidays the first live kill. Not pleasant. We’re a bit in shock actually. Seeing a lion chewing on a zebra leg is fine. Seeing the happy pig family wandering down the hill and then 2 young lose their mum and probably their lives as still weaning was a bit unsettling. Think I might turn veggie. After tonight’s steak that is….as long as no-one shares a video of where the steak came from….anyway, I digress.
Pah! call yourself a real fan? I've trekked across the desert in the middle of the night in an area full of roaming, sword wearing, Rashayda tribesmen just to try and get better reception on a small shortwave radio so I could hear the results. And we were only in the third division at the time. We drew 1-1 against Shrewsbury away.
Remember Smashy or Nicey doing the Brentford nylons add, sorry that's all I have to offer on the subject of Brentford..
A real 7 pointer tonight, relegation zone looms by the end of the weekend otherwise. As ever we'll probably need a minimum of 3 goals to win so hopefully Dennis, King and Pedro are on it from the start. Hope we win etc.
Both of them seem to do better off the bench. Presumably they will both play during the two matches we will be without players due to ACON. Norwich and Newcastle should be two winnable fixtures but I don't see Pedro, King and Cucho being consistent enough over both games for us to win both.
It was. I was appalled to note he was given an MBE. Ah, the honours list...... Probably not on this thread.
They will all be Brentford fans - after all, isn’t that the whole point of changing the clubs badge according to Duxbury? Brentford have got China nailed.
Before looking up the places with a +3 offset, I was wondering what country three hours ahead could have elephants, lions and leopards as the only one I could think of in that time zone was Russia. You're posting from Kenya right?
No Morris in the squad for this evening (playing for the u23s), so almost certainly Sema will be back on the bench.
I suspect it is nonsense. Seems to have originated from Brentford fans on Twitter. No official sources as far as I can see. I guess will find out in a few hours though.
PL say that as long as you can name a minimum of 13 players in the squad including at least one goalkeeper a game should go ahead.
Yep. Last night in Samburu tonight. Then one night in Aberdare. Previously been in Lewa and Ol Pejeta. Great video of elephants within 20 feet of our tent 8 hrs ago then lunch area having to be evacuated with 30 secs warning for same reason 6 hrs ago.
Does coverage start at 7? Wonder how many times they will cram how many managers we have had !? We’ll probably be made out to be the bad boys compared to Brentford.
Are leopards more dangerous than cheetahs? I heard that cheetahs are pretty tame compared to other big cats but they can't really be domesticated because they breed much less when in captivity.
Exactly - the more players they have out, the more I’m expecting a ‘spirited’ home performance under the lights as we wilt.
Depends on the situation but I think I’m right in saying that hippos kill more humans than any other African mammal. Leopards are dangerous as they are ambush hunters and mainly nocturnal. Male elephants in musth “in heat” can be dangerous but otherwise are safe …..unless they tread on you !
I believe that leopards are more dangerous, but it's relative. Leopards generally keep to themselves but might attack us if desperate (e.g. unable to hunt faster prey due to leg injury). Cheetahs are considered safe for humans unless you go out of your way to piss one off. Personally I wouldn't go near either of them unless I had no other choice, because wild animals are always unpredictable.
Took a habituated cheetah for walk in Sth Africa a few years ago and it gave another guest a playful nip on the leg as it walked past. Mrs TuT says his name was “Chester”…the cheetah that is….
