I don't care about how we do in this game. Not one jot. But, sadly, of course, I do. I'm no politician, but if you vote for me as PM, I'll close Blackpool down the day after I'm elected. I'll also ban cucumber and macaroni cheese immediately. Vegans will no longer be allowed to eat anything pollinated by bees transported to allow such pollination. Blackpool 5 - 1 Watford
I’m really not sure whether i thoroughly respect those that are making this trip or think they are barking mad… I can’t be bothered to go to home games
On a serious note, it's just so sad, the last time we played them (unless I am getting the order of the home and away games mixed up) was one of the most memorable games for a long long time, and now we've been reduced to this
God knows what the shout box was like at half time for that game though if it existed ?! Maybe we will play as we did in our last away game.. Mind you that will probably annoy people even more if we did .
Considering we were top 6 with such an exciting squad, with owners who seemed to know what they were doing, probably annoyed, but nothing vitriolic by forum standards?
One of my favourite matches of the Pozzo era . We were sensational in that second half , admittedly against a very poor Blackpool . It was also when Ben Watson made his debut at half time . How we could do with a Ben Watson type in midfield at the moment !
We haven't lost to Blackpool away since 2014. As stated above we did the double over them in our promotion season - only managed to win the away fixture 1-0 (think it was a penalty?). To be honest, I think I am looking to see what "reaction" we get on Saturday. I'm expecting a half-arsed aproach to the game with a defence made up of Pollock, Morris and Kabasele. Wow... theres food for thought already. I said in the score prediction thread we would win but right now, after that horror show on Wednesday? Nailed on defeat. We will be even weaker than we have been all season at the back. There is a chance we escape the pleasure beach with a point, but I am not expecting a Stoke performance at all. We will probably stroll about for 90mins and look forward to the slot machines after the game, maybe have a few Donkey Rides and go on the Roller Coaster. When I say "We" I mean the players' not the fans. Actually the roller coaster would be a good idea... there will be many more ups and downs this season. This will be a down -as Bilic feels Gino's icy breath on his neck after one win in three.
A tepid 3-1 loss. We’ll start well and score within the first 10mins thus supplying the usual false hope we’ve all come to know. Then we’ll play like we’ve **** our pants.
If some of those injured return to fitness in time for this then it’s an easy win. If we’re relying on Pollock & Morris then forget it.
Easy win, clappers crowing, Gino a genius again, until the next time we face a half decent team. Repeat for the season.
Not sure if serious, this is the best away of the season by far. Cheap ale on the beach, fish and chips lunch, smash the tangerines then into town for an Elvis impersonator, curry and finally throw the lips (and more) on some brassy Lancashire strumpet in the early hours. One part of that itinerary is a lie. I ******* hate Elvis.
nope get that…I was more talking about those getting on a coach at some ungodly hour on sat am, long trip up, back on coach straight after game, long trip back and to bed when the birds are waking on Sunday. That trip sounds like hell to watch the borefest that we will dish up Football is secondary on your trip up. Have fun
This game clashes with Wealdstone v Borehamwood. Could Watford/Blackpool not have arranged for it to be put back 24 hours?
Longer term injury now Had a knee op at Villa in June and didn't train in summer-no wonder he went on loan!
Over cautious medical team, injury prone players, lack of investment in defence and probably a lack of fitness training over the Summer - thanks, ̶O̶b̶a̶m̶a̶ Gino.
What a joke this season is already. Half the team crocked and it's not even December. Only positives is it does give fringe players like Morris and Pollock a chance to shine and show if they can be at least backup squad players when members of the first team come back. Can we not stick Julian ****s on the right and play Kamara on the left? It's pointless playing him out of position.
Longer term injury. How’s your luck? Go with the cheap injury prone option in defence and he suddenly gets a long term injury.
We do seem to sign far too many players who turn out to be lame and end up spending most of the time in sick bay
In the WO piece AF lists the players out and includes TDB. In the next sentence he says TDB is in the squad and maybe involved. "I'm going mad Ted".
