I don't understand? This is the best squad in the Championship, possibly the best in the history of the division? Oh, right, the reality is that actually it's a squad full of serial failures, over-hyped never have been's, OAP's, and mercenaries who couldn't give a ****, all assembled by our pathetic, clueless, negligent, disgusting owner who has utterly ripped the soul from the club I once loved. F**k this stupid piece of sh*t club as long as it continues to be owned by this pasta munching c*nt.
I don't think we'll go down but quite scary that. Anything less than 3 points out of 6 from the next two games and we'll be 16th/17th you'd think.
Our sh1t centre backs are injured so we had to play out sh1tter centre backs today. Gosling for rb from now on, game changed once he went off. Our players are mentally weak, with us dropping down from the Prem we are a big scalp to take for the so called smaller clubs now, our players just arent up for the fight. Great free kick from Louza but Bridcutt marked him out the game second half. I dont think even Pep could get a tune out of some of this lot. I enjoyed the Blackpool commentary, old school with a few jokes thrown in, I enjoyed the one about our managers names being written in chalk on the door. Gino is still a ****.
I'll keep this short and sweet. That was crap, That was dire. Terrible performance from a terrible team. We are looking good for relegation right now - should be a tasty scrap down there at the bottom. Get out of my club Gino. Take Krapaselle and WTE with you. I actually paid for my freind to go to that. Might be shelling out for a refund. Club is dying. Soul is already gone. Bilic Out? Doesn't matter who's in charge, same crap week in week out. Anyone know what the Pies are like in Ipswich and Charlton?
There’s nothing more that can be said Pozzo refused to upgrade the entire defence. And we are now paying for it Pozzo let Hughes go and didn’t upgrade the midfield with the exception of Louza. And we are now paying for it Pozzo went all in on Sarr and that has failed. And we are now paying for it we have bought in so much garbage, paid extortionate amounts on long term contracts and head coach terminations. And our debt has mounted out of control for a team in this division if Pozzo doesn’t sell we will be on a downward spiral into league one… at best
Look! I don’t want to hear any talk of protests! Think of the impact on the lads who bleed yellow who are out there giving their all! Nah, no way fan dissent can spill over in the stands - those guys must get unanimous backing, come rain or shine! Calling for a new owner?! Do me a favour! Unless you can specifically name an individual or party, then it’s just not worth taking the risk of bailing out on this bunch of charlatans who have (supposedly) frauded, lied and laughed their way through this mess, whilst plunged us into millions upon millions of debt. Are you mad?! Careful what you wish for indeed.
Another poor outing for the best squad the championship has ever seen Get Xisco back, they just need an arm around the shoulder and players played in their best positions
Can remember when I used to care about Watford results. Gino Pozzo has ripped the soul out of this great football club. It's a sad state of affairs.
Whole team is rancid as a team. We have a few half decent players who we be sold as soon as we finish lower mid table or worse. Thank you Gino, Dux and Mogi... thank you very much. Idiots.
And that's the crux of it. We bring in 'slightly damaged' players like Hamza who could be very good at this level, but needs a guiding hand to help him after his recent tribulations and he finds.....absolutely zilch. He sees serial bottler (as in 3 times per match) Kabasele as captain....how could he do anything other than put in progressively declining performances? I think Bilic should just jack it in and lay bare exactly how sclerotic the whole set up is.
Changing managers is like Putin changing his generals. They are not the problem. The problem runs much deeper.
I went out at half time. Came back and it was 3-1. What on earth happened? I’m guessing we completely buckled under more long balls. This was a terrible championship side and they trounced us. I appreciate we won’t have had many days on the training ground since Bilic took over, and we have lots of injuries in a team severely lacking depth, but early signs are worrying.
Watford happened. Worst defence in the League by a massive margin, no font line... statue defending from aging OAP's who should be nowhere near the club. Expect a lot more days like this, next week is going to be a massacre.
Sorry Roy Moore, I got my energy bill this morning and the above was just an overspill of anger. I’m incapable of separating that anger from my apathy of watching Watford these days - so again, my apologies for the above post. #BlameOfgemNotGino
There’s no way Pozzo is paying compensation for a head coach. All funds for head coaches is set aside for contract settlements for departures.
Not as upset and angry about this defeat. Not because we were better, but because I am fed up being fed up. We are just woeful all over the pitch, but our defence is next level catastrophic. Kabs was clearly having a childish hissy fit because he was asked to play right back. Disgraceful is the best word you can use for him, along with unacceptable. WTE is just not a decent footballer. Not his fault, that is down to our recruitment. Other players seem unhappy and just not performing. Just need to give Bilic a chance to get a tune out of this very broken fiddle.
That's a few of the lowlights of the past few years, but I bet if you think hard enough, you can come up with 20 more. It's beyond a farce now. As Jumbolina said earlier this week, I turned against the Pozzos when things were still relatively rosey and in fact, before one of our best ever seasons (cup final and finished 11th). Good seasons and bad seasons can happen in football, with luck, momentum and one or two key players doing well/poorly, however the direction of the club was clear to me. Pozzo has never seen Watford's team success as a primary concern. From the outset we have been a vehicle for his passion - trading random players like Pokemon. None of his decisions have been with Watford's best interests at heart. Ever. Sometimes Pozzo's interest and those of WFC intersect and everyone think's he's the messiah for it, but he's not. He's a ****. He treats watford and the fans with derision and always has done. That some idiots spent money on a giant banner of his face to praise him for not being Basini, is, frankly embarrassing. He's a despot and a tyrant. He makes bad decisions and instead of learning from them, he doubles down, time and time again. He'd rather Watford fail using his methods, than succeed with him changing his MO. Our early Pozzo success was catalysed by the glut of talent Udinese and Grenada had at the time, which they were able to spare to boost us from mid table Champ into the Prem. To be fair there were then a few savvy buys in those early 2 Prem years, followed by disaster after disaster, to the point where, we are now, in my opinion, in a net deficit from where they took us over. Between the debt we have and the assets we retain, we are a broken football club. We have 2 years of parachute payments left, but short of a miracle, are not in any position to expect a return to the Premier League within that time frame, or in any foreseeable future under Pozzo. We are not an attractive option to buyers either, because we come with the baggage of debt, to external creditors and to Gino, which vastly outweighs the potential value of the club, compared to other, much more attractive options. Gino has actually made us worse off than Basini. That it's not apparent to many people yet is just a matter of timing. Give it 2-3 years and the buckets will be out, the Supporters Trust will be issuing serious lists of questions that will be ignored and the banner of Gino's mug will be repurposed. This club is a shambles and some of you are complicit. You applauded the destruction of the club and you harangued those that argued against it. What is and what is to come is your reward.
You joke but I can genuinely see Xisco in the hotseat before March. Is there anywhere I can bet on that?
First job this season is to stay up, you know what, through gritted teeth I probably would have just taken that under Edwards if there were any evidence we can build, but right now there just isn't
The Soul is there but possessed by an Italian demon Pozzuzo. We need to call in an Exorcist. The power of GT compels you. Perhaps the team could come out to Tubular Bells and the Green Pea soup taken off the club menu.
Did we have a shot on goal apart from the free kick? Except for last Sunday we don't seem to build any momentum in our play after scoring and well we all know about the defence. People used to joke that Doyley and co were rubbish but least they could defend a bit.
If nothing else, we can be proud of the widening vocabulary some of us are having to use to reinvent the obloquy we express at this cataclysm
Absolutely disgraceful. Unfortunately there was trouble near where I was standing with my kids. Just about summed up the day. Pozzo out chant was quite loud near the end
