I don't really care about Bassong. He's ok, but as other have mentioned for the cost he's not worth it. I wouldn't say he stood out at all during his loan here, I'd say Hoban's performance on Sunday was better than any performance Bassong gave.
Brighton either have a lot of spare cash or Bassong is prepared to take a big cut on the wages Norwich were giving him. I agree he is not worth the outlay particularly as Hoban needs to be given a run and perhaps that why we are giving Savin a trial.
He's good, but not sure he suited the new-Watford passing game. If he's expensive he needed to be a better fit.
It was always a personal issue between him and Neil Adams. I don't think either of them ever hid it and with Adams gone he was always likely to be back in their reckoning.
sad to see him go personally, but as long as we have a suitable replacement it's not a massive loss, we've pulled a few signing tricks out the hat this season already so we'll see who pops up in his place!
I thought he always looked solid and wasn't too bad with the ball at his feet. Would of been glad to see him stay
Looks like Bassong will be getting a play off final medal and presumably will also get a runners up medal from Watford. I would doubt that this has ever been achieved before.
Didn't Bassong say something in the post match interview about today meaning more to him than the double promotion? If so, what pondscum. Actually, I like the guy, fair play to him. Didn't he sing a little Christmas song in the club's Christmas message?
