As much as i didn't want him to go to West Ham due to the fact they aren't much bigger than us if £10M is true then i'll forget it's West Ham. £10M is an extraordinary amount of money for a club like ours and we've got the best price possible.
I have a feeling West Ham will clamber away from trouble eventually anyway.

All credit to the board for sticking it out and backing AB till we got an offer that AB felt was worthwhile.

If true then we've got very good money.

Full credit to Aidy for putting up a fight to keep Ash at the club, but for 10M you can't really argue with it. Just hope that he goes on to what he deserves.

Very good money for him - way over what he's worth IMHO. I was willing Aidy to sell at 3-4million.

Definately somebody inside WFC leaking stuff out and it's not acceptable. The **** nees to be rooted out and have all the disciplinary action thrown at him.

The mole is Sietes, he's lurking inside a draw somewhere in the building listening in. He feeds at night only, eating leftover stale hot dog rolls.

£10 Million? And to think a couple of weeks ago we were saying 5 mill should be considered. Great work by the boss IMO.

For the 1st time in a long while the board haven't caved in at a silly price, ala Robbo.
    Well done Ashton and Simpson.

Great work by Aidy, but more importantly by the board! Now Simpson and Ashton aren't flavour of the month with me at the moment regarding a few internal issues BUT credit where it's due, they've backed Aidy all the way!

Wasn't long ago we were letting Robbo go for peanuts...

Well done the board and Aidy!

Cheers for the memories Ash, whilst i think you're vastly over priced (;D ) i must say you've given me some great memories from last season! Your goal at palace will long live in my memory!

Again, to be fair, this is the first time this board has had the financial backing behind it to be able to not cave in at the silly prices.

Good point, we are finally in a position where we didn't need to sell, but still, good to see we have over inflated his value and have got great money for him!

    Great business!

I'd say it was at least double his real value. I think Wet Spam are gonna end up paying a lot for a great deal of untapped potential...

hmmm, sounds god that we are alledgedly getting 10 million, but its not worth it if we dont find a replacement - not for 10 million obiously, i think some should be invested off the pitch too.

Hammers have £10m bid for Young accepted

    Daily Mail:
    West Ham 3 Fulham 3

West Ham have had a £10million bid accepted for Watford forward Ashley Young.

The Upton Park board were successful at the fourth attempt for the England Under 21 international, having previously had offers of £7m, £8m and then £9m rejected.

    • Skipper Terry poised to sign £150,000-a-week deal at Chelsea

    • It won't be Rocky for Beckham in LA, says Sly

    • Gloves off at Fight Hart Lane

The development is a major boost for manager Alan Curbishley, who learned yesterday that he will be without injured defender Danny Gabbidon (groin) and Argentina striker Carlos Tevez (calf) for the next six weeks.

Curbishley will now be desperate for Young to agree personal terms and play a major part in his side’s battle against relegation.

He will be hoping to seal the deal over the next few days, with Aston Villa still in the hunt for a player who made his name in the Championship last season before continuing his impressive development in the top flight this term.

Villa, financed by the millions of new owner Randy Lerner, could table a counter bid.

So looks like he will be leaving then...£10 mil good price or not??

I say we will be ripping west ham off if they spend that much on him!
