Cracking right wing-back who is all round defensive/attacking wing-back. Played solidly for Granada for the past few years, probably one of their best players. No denying we need a right-back. No fee
I won't lie. I never heard of him before FM... BUT, when Granada have been on Sky i've made a point of watching/recording it and he does look solid.
Widmer scored against us in the friendly last season and looked a very solid player. Would be a great addition.
http://granadacf.ideal.es/noticias/201507/02/nyom-pone-rumbo-watford-20150702013808-v.html "The right-back Allan Nyom traveling in the day today to London to negotiate its incorporation to Watford in England, also owned joint inverter Granada CF Gino Pozzo and late last April won promotion to the Premier League. According IDEAL could also know the deal is not closed one hundred percent, but the fact is that the player is taking for granted the inclusion among their circle of friends, which is indicative that may culminate absolutely."
If we can't persuade any top targets to sign we might as well save our money and take players internally Watched Granada a few times on Sky, Nyom isn't too shabby
One of their most consistent players, kept Messi and Neymar in check when they played Barcelona, thought he played very well in that game. Seen Granada a handful of times and he has always looked pretty solid versus some very good teams. A proper defender. Tall, strong, quick and very physical. Occasionally has lapses and you wonder what he is doing but he's a step up on Paredes. Would be pretty happy if true.
Very good player but absolute lunatic.. I'm sure everyone here will have seen the video of him running away from a ref to avoid being booked.
It's a unique resource we have so why not use it, sounds like a good player. A position that we need to strengthen too.
I think both Paredes and Layun will be in Granada this year - suited more perhaps to the style and pace of play
The handbags were with Brahimi. Nyom athletically is as good as you can get, you won't beat him one on one. Gets forward well but technically needs to improve.
If Florrie likes 4 at the back, we need proper full-backs, not people who look good going forward but can't defend.
sorry but i really dont get the Paredes and Layun bashing that goes on here... I know they both didnt have the best first season but the Championship is a tough beast and completely different to South American (S.A) football. There aren't many S.A players whom come to England and hit the ground running. Just have to look at the like of Falcao (who was seen as one of the best strikers in the world), cuadrado, veron, di maria, lamela etc...i do think give them time and they will come good, and i do think at times last season they showed how good they can be. I accept there have been players who have hit the ground running from S.A (sanchez et.al) . Let's get behind these guys and make a better judgement at the end of this season.
Sounds like a new Lloyd Doyley - It's a definite yes from me. Also a lunatic? Sign him up. Will go well with Barton, that nutcase who nutted the Juve guy, and Samba Diakite when he signs.
He's played in La Liga for a few years, I'm sure he's decent technically. Haven't seen him play much but looking at clips of him he looks fine with the ball at his feet.
I was not bashing - i like them both We can only have 17 non home qualified players - we are already close to that and so it is almost a case of 1 in 1 out - it is as simple as that Layun will prosper in a league with more time on the ball and if Allan comes in and he is as similar to Paredes a it would appear then it just seems logical that a swap might be the plan But don't confuse me with a Layun/Paredes basher - i am not in that camp at all
