Just found this. http://66.249.91.102/translate_c?hl...g=ALkJrhidzgXeQfnaGsJhiyZrTKVHmcxIFg#comments Not the greatest translation but enough to make out what is being said.
"Alexander is not yet fully recovered from injury, but the train is already three days. I think that he will need another week to get the full capacity of the 'Watford'." So he's recovering from injury, and has trained for three days? Not really going to be in contention for 2 or 3 weeks then Unless I'm being overly pessimistic seeing as if there's no indication of his injury being a serious one or just a bit of a knock. Ho hum.
It does indeed say a week nak but my pessimism is strong and my thinking is it will take someone coming in from the Latvian league (are they actually playing at the moment or on a break? (insert own 'Friends' joke here )) a little while longer to settle anyway, as opposed to Don Cowie.
Maybe the standard of football is quite poor there and prefer to see there players playing abroad at a so called bigger club.
"Watford" English "Championship", or the force is the Second Division after 30 layers with 30 points in 22 plays. Much better than the 'orns. Simply 'The Force'. Sounds pretty 'ard.
I feel a bit more positive about this signing having read this interview: http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sport/localsport/4105407.Latvian_aiming_to_earn_permanent_move/ I commented to someone the other day that if he was any good I'd have expected Gary Johnson to be in for him and what do you know he was and Cauna rejected them. He also had offers to join two Premiership clubs. Apparently Chelsea wanted to sign him too in Rodgers' time there but couldn't agree a fee with Skonto Riga. We've agreed a fee already as we have an option so if he turns out to be a star he's ours.
Also, I signed him on Football Manager and he scored 24 goals in 5 games, invented a workable alternative to petrol plus resolved the Middle East problem.
