Been all over twitter for the past 2 hours. It is absolutely nonsense and all started with a internet sports writer who tweeted watch for Lemela and Watford.

Even if he was at our training ground today, he is best mates with Pereyra.

Also he is still injured, noway would he even pass a medical.

This is some rumour made up by a wannabe sports writer who has somehow managed to pull a lot of people's pants down with the story.

This will simply not happen this window and there is no truth to it whatsoever.

Although all the evidence seems utterly compelling that this signing is pretty much done and dusted, I still have some doubts.

 

Hate to scotch a juicy rumour but all the reports at the end of last season was that Lamela has had serious injury problems and set backs. These are by all accounts career threatening. Spurs are obviously doing their best to get him fit again. Lamela had already fallen out of favour but I would be very sceptical regarding him moving in this window.

I don't know why we'd even bother? We've just got Carrillo in and we've got Nordin as backup. We don't need to spend upwards of £20 million on a player who has spent more time at Spurs injured than fit... We've got enough of that sort of player already

If true, and that's a big if, It's unlikely we'd spend that amount on another winger, but not impossible.

 

Wow, that's actually a reasonable price considering the market. I value him higher than Gray although it may be just because of the fact that he plays/played for Spurs

Much as I'd love to see Lamela play for Watford, I don't think I could bear to see someone go from the man lined up to replace Totti, to having to play on the wing for Watford.
