I used an "unpleasant phrase", which I have no issue with using to people's faces when I feel they deserve it, in a joking manner to highlight an unpleasant post. My opinion, your post was out of order and called for it.

Why was it? You’ve simply repeated yourself.

Just an opinion old bean. Something other members are allowed to have without being insulted.
    Just saying like.

Sure. But I didn’t insult him. The only insult so far is your queasy comment about sand and vaginas.

Either one of you is welcome to actually define this woke thing VOR finds so upsetting.

Woah woah woah, back it up a second.

So Carol Kirkwood got sand in her vagina when she was taking a knee on Countryfile?

    Egg and beans.

I like both in a fry up, but they must never meet. Don’t like that queasy thing that results from tomato sauce mixing with egg yolk. I have to construct a barrier from hash browns.

Over time would a piece of sand in the vag turn into a pearl?

It’s an unusual speculation of yours that seems to require some extreme circumstances.

Were it easy, I expect folk would have been ‘growing their own’ by now.

I’ll take a ramekin, yes a ramekin of beans on the side. And before you go thinking ‘oooh he thinks he’s Mariah Carey’ it really is the only way.

You can apply small amounts of beans to sausages and hash browns at will, take the toast to the beans and shovel a few on to ensure toast stays crisp on the plate, and avoid the egg and bean juice mixing.

It’s not a popular take but I’ll usually go scrambled with a fry up if I’m cooking. Less oil and if well herbed and seasoned they can blend with the beans and mushrooms. I’m always a little let down when I’m on the last few victory forkfuls and I’m having to work in any remaining rubbery egg white from a fried.

I watched a mate fetch avocado and beans off a breakfast buffet a while back and mash them together on his plate. What an absolute ****.

The best bit of a fry up with hash browns is cracking the egg yolk over the top of them....in the abscence of fried bread of course which seems to have dissapeared in the angina paranoid days we live in.

Recently cooked a Breakfast in Bread, which is a full English inside a scooped out white loaf , all roasted for an extra 10 mins or so, with the lid back on!!!

    Raymond Blanc... do one son!

Maybe you’ve only had shyte olives, which are a thing to be hated. But top notch olives, in all their variety, are a thing of joy.

Agree - especially eaten pre-dinner, in the sunshine, with a glass of dry white or a g&t.

Anyone on here been brave enough to book a holiday abroad? Have deferred a 10 day break to Greece - again - but now trying to decide whether it’s worth booking a week away in Portugal or not. Bizarrely, it was easier to get away last year, when no one was vaccinated and cases and hospitalisations were more closely linked, than it is this year.

Good luck - hope you get there and everything goes smoothly. I’m now looking at villas rather than hotels. Thinking that, if we get “pinged” from someone on the plane or one of us actually goes down with Covid while we’re away, at least then we’d still have space and a pool rather than being stuck in a hotel room.

Going to Northern Ireland for a week at the end of July - it's as overseas as I think I'm able to get.

I spent a lot of time investigating Greece, but there's just to many things that could go wrong and the cost of tests is more than the flights. If it was just me and the wife, I'd probably risk it, but for 4 of us it's too expensive a gamble. Normally go abroad about 3 times a year, but this year it's just been Scotland and NI.

People who accidentally post things in the “things you hate” thread instead of the Covid 19 thread. Idiots.
