Agree with most the ticket renewal was surprisingly simple and easy, so where’s the catch.........

If you already use nfc and Google wallet them I am sure no problem.

If you can't or don't currently use nfc there is a problem to solve.

Same with me. I sent an email. Not sure why the credit did not come off at the end, probably user error on my part.

You had to actually apply it. Think it was a green button to press just before putting in card details.

Why on earth would anyone not want to apply it? Dumb functionality!

Can you split the credit between season tickets? 2 of my group got credits applied and the rest refunds, and all credits were applied to my account as the lead booker, so I need to split the relevant amounts across the right people as I renew them (individually as they all want to pay by direct debit). Anyone been able to do anything similar?

Yup. Though you’ll have to do the ones where you’re using the credit separately.

I did £20 for me on one transaction and set up a direct debit payment. Then went round again and applied the other £20 worth of credit for my dad and paid by card. Originally it showed as a £40 credit balance on my account as I was the lead booker.

So that when you are having a moan about the club and someone retorts "the club doesn't owe you anything" you can come back "actually...".

Blimey that was surprisingly simple and efficient. Was envisaging a dystopian nightmare of ticket renewal.

Got to hand it to the club, £76 for U18 and only £400 for big boys and girls.

Arsenal fans have to pay £1000s to sit in a souless stadium watching that dog sh1te every week. At least our dog sh1te is well priced dog sh1te.

I couldnt find anywhere stating about U18 tickets going on the parents smartphone. Am assuming you just get both tickets showing up on the one account ?

The club have emailed round a season ticket Q&A today which says, in essence, if you think you'll have an issue using a mobile phone then contact them after 1 June and they'll sort something else out.

And the reasons given for moving to mobile ticketing are cutting out touts, Covid and that forgotten season cards are one of the biggest causes of ticket office queues on matchdays.

Any idea when the season ticket is likely to appear in
Just going to be swapping forgotten ST cards for dead mobile phone batteries....have you seen how often people let their phones go flat?
I find it incredible that many people forget their ST cards. “Right, off to the match. Got my keys, wallet, lucky pants on. All A-OK. “ And then you don’t check you’ve got your ST card?

I'd like to think no-shows might be a reason too. The thing that the fanbase moaned relentlessly about for the first couple of years in the PL before then moaning that the club were going to crack down on it.

Looking at the humble bragging on here and Twitter about how cheap the season tickets are, it'll just be a return to normality without some sort of tracking.

Somewhat surprisingly they've opened the door to season ticket swapping:

Yes but now swapping only to register supporters with Fan IDs. Before that you could give your season ticket to anyone you liked.

With home matches against any one of the ESL Scab Six in demand to tourists, and no doubt a similar situation across all the Premier League, will lead to touts finding a way round it.

But more registered supporters makes the club more marketable to third parties, as they can say “we have 200,000 registered supporters”

Not strictly true as they’d all have to opt in to partner comms, which not many people do...

I reckon you’ll be able to send tickets to anyone you want BUT that person will probably have your ticket on their phone forever so it’ll have to be someone you trust. Think I’m just going to have mine and the person I go with loaded onto my phone and vice versa for when one of us can’t go.

Anyone heard what those of us who buy individual match tickets will be doing?

I'm assuming it's onto phones for those too?

I wonder if it will be a season ticket entry token or 19 individual tickets each with time limited bar code access codes?

I went to the Nations League finals in Portugal in 2019 and the tickets were all digital using some kind of block chain technology that I don't understand. You had to turn on Bluetooth and go through the first barrier at the perimeter of the stadium, this activated the ticket on your phone and generated a QR code. The QR code then had to be scanned at the turnstiles to get into the game.

It was absolute carnage, the Bluetooth activation didn't work properly for lots of people resulting in queues at the perimeter, for those that got through to the turnstiles the readers kept rejecting the QR codes. There were people who just couldn't get their phones to connect to the system, others that were running out of battery and all sorts of issues. We arrived at the stadium with an hour to spare for the first game and didn't get in until after kickoff and for the second game we allowed 1.5 hours but only 2 of us got in as our mate's phone couldn't connect to the system and we had to spend nearly an hour arguing with a pratt in a Hi Viz jacket and trying to prove that he had paid for a ticket.

Now it's coming to The Vic, great!

    Good man.

I also perused a range of ST magazines.

I had ready a range of pro-ST comments to fend off Amiga owners with their superiority complexes.

I LOVED Chuckie Egg on my Acorn Electron!

I got my Atari ST out a couple of years ago and had a quick blast on it before I sold it on.

Kids and I enjoyed Lotus Esprit Turbo Challenge, North and South and a few others.

Stunt Car Racer hadn't aged so well!

There was a cheat with KO where if you got just inside the oppnents half, in the middle of the pitch and pulled back on the joystick, you'd lob the keeper every time.

I'd forgotten the Lotus one, I did play that alot, i remember being very impressed with the rain effects. I still think I'd like a lotus every time I see one now.

I was hopeless at it, but liked the realism of the ball not sticking to your foot magically like sensi did (and all games now), so in that sense it was realistic, because the ball also bounces off my foot like a springed toblerone.
