Kayembe deserves a good shout for his shot which set up the second goal. Their goalie probably thought he had done enough with the corner by punching it well clear, but Kayembe's skill in keeping the return shot down when it was a bouncing ball and the power in it deserves praise. Sure there must have been some luck in the shot finding its way through all those players, but he made his own luck.
So our nest three opponents have decided to dispence with their Managers just before they play us Bristol City appointed Liam Manning 7th November Stoke appointed Steven Schumacher 19th December Plymouth managerless since 19th December Is this some kind of new manager bounce conspiracy
Totally agree, when he laid the ball off to Asprilla he immediately took off only checking his run to make sure he wasn't off side before being in the exactly right place to tap the ball into the net! maybe he isn't as useless as some one here would make you believe!!
Can anyone name a Watford player who has gone from forgettable squad player to key man as acutely as Kayembe has? Fair play to that man.
Isn’t it nice to see signs of progress? Even when we’re not quite getting it right, it’s lovely to finally see a group of players willing to keep going and trying to make something happen. Absolutely wild how quickly things have turned around once it became clear that VI was going to be backed, and the disruptive influences were going to continuing being sidelined. Sadly makes the last 4-5 years feel even more infuriating, but what’s done is done. I hope we continue to focus our efforts on signing players who have something to prove. It’ll be interesting to see what we’re able to do in January with comings and goings. I think playoffs might be a touch too far this year, but if we’re able to continue adding useful pieces over the next couple of windows, we might end up being quite good.
We'd need to hope Leeds can overtake Ipswich to have any faint hope whatsoever of doing something in the playoffs should we somehow make it.
Yes, it’s very good. A few different clips and references to what we usually see when Elton talks Watford.
I think Val has been coaching them to shoot much more from the edge of the box. In recent years it was all hoof and hope or keep trying to walk the ball into the net, which didn't work. In recent weeks we have scored a lot from 20 yards, and like yesterday Hoedt lumped a hopeful shot in weeks ago from which Asprila scored that worldy from the rebound? Keep it going boys...
Postmatch player interviews : Hamer: not heard him speak before but seems a good lad and I like his attitude to the first goal https://www.watfordfc.com/news/reaction-hamer-asprilla-speak-after-blackburn-win#play Healey: top lad, really appreciated the fans singing his name. (I didn't go but thought the support was great especially at 1-0 down) https://www.watfordfc.com/news/reaction-healey-on-his-blackburn-winner#play Asprilla: he's great.
