I like Sarr but he needs to move on now. I'd take £25m and say thanks for the last promotion.

Then buy five £5m players who can at least hold their own in this tinpot league.

He is a £15-20m player. We’d have been pretty happy with his output for that kind of price and selling to break even would be fine.

Of course we paid double that though. Genius.

No one is giving us the bulk of £20m-£25m up front for a player in his form, with 18 months on their deal. They’ll give him a 4-5yr deal and pay any fee over that. So it’ll be £4m-£5m up front. We are firmly over a barrel in that sense.

…but we will borrow pretty much all of it from Macquarie within 6 months regardless.

After their takeover, the Muffins reportedly have a large war chest for this window so we might screw around £15m out of them. Sarr might like the opportunity to have daily strolls along the beach!

As opposed to twice weekly walks up and down Championship pitches?

Sandbanks, huge wads of cash, the 'Sunshine Coast'. Hard to decline.

Bilic actually called out Sarr's weak performances. Nice to see someone in the club can actually see he isn't trying.

Doesn't have much choice at the moment does he?
With a fully fit squad, I think we might have seen him warming the bench a few times.

I doubt he can do that - would kill his market value if he can't get in our first XI.

Basically just says he’s not done enough since getting back from the World Cup - not exactly a public dressing down that’ll make Sarr think twice.

Have to hope Bilic has been far more scathing behind closed doors.

As apposed to killing his market value by doing very little when on the pitch. His value may go up by being on the bench.

Not a chance his value goes up if we drop him, even if his contribution on the pitch is minimal. The key is to get him motivated on the pitch by convincing him that a few star performances this month will get him a move. If he’s not good enough to get in our side, he’s not good enough for the prem.

This reminds me of a pal of mine who watched both us and Arsenal.

He said that in his final season at Highbury Liam Brady did absolutely nothing.

He knew he was leaving for Juventus in the summer and was a shadow of his former self.

Freddie has never been consistent really although I suppose he is now. Consistently anonymous.

    Byee!

I thought he sounded pretty exasperated while saying "since the World Cup break, it's not enough"; the tone indicated to me he's either losing, or already lost patience with him.

    Agreed.

Sometimes it's the tone and not the content and often it's what is not said.

Not the notes played but the spaces as Miles Davis said.

I’m sure a smart or idiot PL manager will think it’s because he can’t be bothered and is still willing to chuck down a fair few million for him which we will then use to sign central defenders.

The speed of a gazelle, a brain the size of a pea and a heart the size of a sparrow.

Downed tools after the AFCON and seems like he has done it again.

Please leave. Thirty million to reinvest in overhauling the squad. Take WTE and several others with you while we're at it.

I also remember thinking than John Barnes had his poorest season for us (relatively speaking) in the last one before he left.

Human nature I suppose but perhaps one might hope for some input for the pennies that he takes to pay the ferryman.

    He has wild hair.
    A forward and 12.
I was scrolling through for midfielders and have only just discovered that the spawn of Dennis Bergkamp left us last season or perhaps before!

He's the saviour! 17 year old forward. Very few have seen him play but some would like him to start instead of Sarr. If Sarr is leaving then no problem but otherwise I think he should play but no issues this fella on then bench if Bilic thinks enough of him

    He's not the Saviour.
He's a very naughty boy, who will be cheered onto the pitch as we sing "one of our own", before being jeered after 8 mins when we realise he's utter ****.

I could be wrong but I couldn't find any midfielders in the academy or rather any that weren't on loan at Budleigh Salterton etc.

Is he being frozen out deliberately ? Give him a run out as he cannot be any worse than Hunglo who's sole ability seems to be able to run fast. Hardly a criteria for being a professional footballer.

Blake: “It Was A Fantastic Feeling” - Watford FC

He did show some nice touches albeit it was Franchise FC.
