I’d say it’s a ‘Sierralta is only fit enough for the bench’ scenario again.

But it’s a f*cking shambles that he’s still captain in a team that contains Gosling and WTE. (I’m not saying they are good, but they are much better captain candidates)

Let's hope we get out of this without any more injuries. Another thing. Going down the list not one of them is captaincy material. Certainly not Kabasele.

Kabasele will be here until he retires, I guarantee it. No one will be stupid enough to buy him but Pozzo is stupid enough to give him a contract extension.

I know it's flogging a dead horse but it's objectively incomprehensible how poor how defensive options have been since 2019/2020.

I think if you can consider separating playing ability and leadership skills, WTE is actually a good leader. By far and away the best one in the squad.

Just a real shame he’s complete crap. Still better than Kabasele on both fronts mind you.

Oh, look, another player who's managed to work his way up to untouchable status despite being old and crap.

    I'm shocked.

At least Kamara looks to be LB.

    Good to see Louza start.

    Bayo hattrick incoming.

It's definitely preferable to any alternative which sees Kamara shunted out to the right again - it suggests Bilic isn't a complete dunce at least.

I'm not joking when I say that Blackpool isn't actually that bad of a place to visit. Of course there's areas of significant deprivation which is sad but the place itself has a certain charm to it.

    Same for Davis?

And TDB won’t be that fit either .

I didn't want to be accused of child abuse.
Seemed happy enough, although the little girl in the Chelsea kit was looking quizzically at him.
Either that or she was cross eyed!

Surely that's more out of desperation than anything? I mean if Kabasele or WTE drop, what then?!

On a similar note, with Hause and Ngakia getting injured soon after their returns to action, I do wonder if TDB in the squad is a recipe for disaster

So far this season we've played Gaspar, Ngakia, Kamara, Cathcart and Kabasele at right back. Now it looks like it's Gosling's turn...

Identified by fans as a problem position as soon as Kiko left, Pozzo took the cheap, easy option and now we're paying the price. Just like he's done with the whole defence for the last 4 years.

Barring Wilmot and Pollock bought for small fees as youngsters, Kabasele is the last CB we ever paid money for...

Trying recall a season where we didn't end up with a weird back line. Abdi at right back, Holebas and Janmaat at CB, Kamara at RB, Ngakia and Femenia at LB. Mariappa in a PL squad. Today isn't an exception, it's a rule.

I'm not mad about at Gosling at RB. Been a while since he played there - but genuinely could stake a claim for a regular spot there given our other options.

Try turning it upside down or inside out. Actually, scrap that idea I think it's one of those old "magic eye" games from the 1990s where you have to try to make out the good players...

******* hell, remove Sarr and that is genuinely a team looking at 15th to 24th in the league table.

More than good enough options for this dismal level.

    Our defence is record breaking.

Kayembe is a beast at this level

Yep. Unfortunately that's like starting with 9 men.

Bayo is an empty shirt and Gosling isn't good enough for his actual position. Mega shift required. You'd have to say lose here and Norwich and top 2 ideas are over.

As will Bilic's turn in the hot seat. Norwich are going to wipe the floor with us, just like last season at the Vic, they might not even need a mop and detergant.

Gosling is an empty shirt, and you imagine they'll get joy down their left side, but at least it's not a completely nullified Kamara on the right and a wet behind the ears kid on the other side. Bayo isn't as good a player as Davis, but if we could just get the ball in the box, he'll get on the end of something
