I have noticed on a twitter feed a picture which shows Okoye catching a ball from a cross l presume.
He looks uncomfortable, but Photoshop is a wonderful item to use. He rarely came for a cross at Sparta.

I finally brought myself to watch a compilation of his. Two scrappy goals and a handful of off-target shots. Lord have mercy if those are the highlights.

 

Agreed it doesn't look good, I believe they threw in a defensive clearance too. He's not a starter but I'd honestly like to know the clubs view on why they signed him.

 

It does seem odd. Other than the fact there was no fee, there's no logical reason to sign him - it's hard to see him holding down a starting place. A bit like the Fletch signing.

Let's face it - we should be honoured to sign any player who has the likes of Man U or Barcelona on their CV. Same logic was applied for that striker from Liverpool whose name I can't even recall now....

Interesting little admission buried in there - rather than a 'no comment' or a polite request not to publish, the club will actively mislead even their favoured journos if its in their interest to push a different version of the truth in public...

 

The bigger reveal here is possibly those who knock AL all the time now get to see quite openly how the club just pulls journos' strings to suit their agenda. Nothing wrong with that but it does mean throwing pelters at people who just report what they're told, only to see it change a week later, is a bit pointless.
