If we keep Sarr (no guarantee that anyone will pay what we want), and add 1 more decent forward, we start with a better side that got auto last time. Defence - very similar + Kamara Midfield - We have lost Hughes, but gained Louza. Think Edo will do well. We need to add 1 additional player. Forward - Pedro is 2 yrs older and will be better. I can see Bayo doing well + 1. Last time our forward line was Deeney and a very raw Pedro, and only Sarr scored over 10 goals
Defence minus Kamara are all two years older and were not that good that season. Louza is currently injured and isn't as good as Hughes was. Cleverly and Gosling are you honestly content with those 2 playing regularly? Pedro needs to stay, Bayo fingers crossed
Hopefully JP can be a star, Bayo can be useful and we get someone else in, but even in 20/21 there were times when Sarr was ineffective, I don't imagine for a second that a completely and utterly demotivated Sarr would be of much use to us. The defence is much the same (plus Samir who's probably our best defender ATM but who may well leave, and Pollock who's at a roughly similar stage to Wilmot back then) but I doubt Sierralta and WTE have got much better, Cathcart and Kabasele are even more over the hill, and we'll almost certainly be playing in a different defensive set-up
Forgot about Kamara, he'd be a step up on almost anyone in the Championship, let alone Fuc. King. No. One--no guarantees he stays though!
Erm, Shane Long has gone to Reading. It's not necessarily clear that JCH will sign, and Manaj isn't confirmed either. Gueye could just me as much of a made up link and it's unlikely we'll sign more than 1 more non-HG striker. Remember when just the other week the board was losing their 5h1t because we were linked with signing Afobe and it didn't happen?!
I wouldn't worry about Afobe. More about the latest AL piece that suggests that until Dennis/Sarr are gone and we know for how much we don't have any funds at all to strengthen (unless it's just a small £5m transfer that benefits multi Bayat family members of course)

Now that odd A Turnswood character has repeated it, but still there doesn't appear to be any other mention or source, other than the strange Welsh player aggregate account, and now Mr Turnswood. As it stands, I'm tempted to draw the conclusion that Turnswood is a bit of a fantastical character who has repurposed that first, made up rumour to make himself look ITK.

That was the Winter Sale Duh . In expect we will wait for the Blue X and BOGOF offers though this summer though based on perceived market values of two of our three most valuable assets (assuming Cathcart stays).
