Since when did I say it did? Pretty clear my posts were about a goodwill offer from the club that I know they would have no intention of offering.
By suggesting the idea you at least think it's something which is somehow valid as a course of action. Has any club ever refunded its fans for their season tickets in the event of their relegation in recent decades in any major league? Somehow I doubt it.
A subsequent post I made clearly stated I knew it was something the club wouldn't do. And I do think it would be a valid goodwill offer from the club.
Given that probably no other club in modern football has ever done such a thing I don't see how it's in any way valid or reasonable. You purchase your season ticket with the knowledge that a club might lose games and get relegated.
Most of our fan base is too quiet as it is. It would take something enormously troubling to shake them out of their stupor. The 1881 have already been bought by the offer of some new flags. Vicarage Road should be an intimidating place to visit with stands relatively close to the pitch but it's not a cauldron. It's a Lyons tearoom with a gentle hubbub throughout.
Well you could say everything is irrelevant. This is not even a mote of dust in the universe. But things matter to people to give life some meaning and for some that is Watford FC.
in 1172 the serfs of Kievan Rus didn't even have a country for Russia to invade. The Mongols came along though.
I think it would be a great idea for the forum Mensheviks to stress test the game boycotting idea, by firstly boycotting wfcforums and then see how it goes from there.
Oh dear . Probably as good as humour as can be expected from you I guess , so I should be grateful that you at least attempted a joke . But what does surprise me is that you and your like-clicking playground gang of Moog idolisers , have no cognition or self awareness to realise the hypocrisy of you calling someone else toxic .
F*ck me. This coming from you? You are the least self-aware person on this whole forum. The fact that you’re routinely told this and still don’t realise has to be parody. Seems like the only thing you’re boycotting is reality.
Yeah, coming from you this is honestly hilarious, given how much it reinforces the astonishing lack of awareness you possess. The entire point of replying with implied toxicity is because it's the buzzword you love to throw about whilst simultaneously rearing up from the depths once every few days with attacks out of nowhere, when no one is talking about you or engaging with you in any way; utterly unprovoked. Accusing me, or indeed anyone else, in response, of a lack of self awareness, is like some incredible full-circle kind of inception. Good and, perhaps, telling, that you knew what it meant instantly, though, at least. (And given that your idea of humour, oft-demonstrated on here, seems to be an exclusive swirl of a 70s review show and Roy Chubby Brown, I'll take it as a great compliment that you don't seem to be a fan of my own brand of wit.)
Just put this weirdo on ignore, like I have. Living rent free in his head is one thing. Living rent free in his head and being completley unaware of his nonsense is just
Same and I’ve got a couple now. Sometimes I click the ‘show ignored content’ thing at the bottom and notice they’ve been relentlessly reply to my posts with some attempted insult to which no one else responds either. Absolute rent free. The forum equivalent of the neighbourhood nutter who shouts outside your window every day. Except it’s closed and double glazed. With the blind down. And the garden is gated.
You keep saying you ve put me on ignore and then respond to my posts , presumably because you cannot bear to not know what someone might say about you . Your narcism knows no bounds , which would explain why you create all of your alter egos to go around like clicking all of your other alter egos posts . Although superficially humerous , in truth it really is quite sad , and probably something you should pay attention to . But if I guess using the forum as an outlet for all of your vitriol keeps it away from the people in your real life , it has served some kind of positive purpose .
Chesham is just down the road from me. In fact I live in Chesham Rd. See you there. But don’t want you getting all angry if they lose a few games, have a **** transfer window, and form a close relationship with a crooked euro agent.
They’re 5th out of 22 so you could be missing an exciting promotion season and arrive just in time for the disappointing summer window and the inevitable relegation.
I think he preferred test matches but I could be wrong. I doubt he has any time for this 20/20 nonsense though.
I haven't made a conscious to not go the Vic this season but I've just counted I've only been too 6 home games out of possible 13 in the league. It would seem like a waste of a season ticket but I really haven't missed it all that much. I miss seeing my mates more than I do going to the football. I don't think it's just Watford, the whole Premier League thing just leaves me a bit cold and season after season the match experience gets a little worse. This season it's the idiotic phone entry system and being searched like a criminal every time I go in. I still go to football matches but do so much lower down the pyramid (a lot of time at Chesham, but not for Chesham Utd...).
Well they ve been searching people at grounds for a number of years since terrorist bombings . As for the phone entry system , seems to work a treat , last time I had to queue so little we were in the 3rd division . I have to say I was very surprised by this as I assumed it would be an organisational disaster .
I think the system has improved - one thing that has this season! Mind you might be a test this week when all the Arsenal fans try to use it in the home end.
Apologies, realise I left this hanging! I was responded to stating I could cancel my DD, just to email formally with all my details etc. I then enquired about how it would affect my categorization etc if I wanted to ad-hoc get tickets in the future, but as yet haven't had a response to that . . In honesty life has got in the way this week so haven't chased it. My DD payment was taken this month anyway so believe there's only 2 left so just weighing it up. At present though I've absolutely no intention to go back to the Vic this season, and am at total peace with that. Personally think a good break is what is needed, and as someone else has commented on this thread that is not just from Watford but from the whole Premier League expirience in general. Went to our local club last week and will be again this week to get our "football fix" and in honesty enjoyed it more than I have at the Vic for a long while and dont have to navigate the M4 or M25 in the process!
Hope that as many as possible are replying to the club emails about ST renewal and telling them to **** off as well as letting them know why. They don't deserve ST holders. 9 home defeats in a row. 2 home wins all season. Someone pointed out that home fans have seen something like 7 home wins in 3 years. I said to the kids today that we weren't renewing and they asked how much it cost. I said it's not the cost, it's that we get virtually no entertainment, joy or simply anything for the money. Or the time invested. It's simply not worth any sane person investing their time and money to support this club until it sorts its **** out. If that ever happens. Boycott this club. That will send a message that no handpicked supporters committee ever will.
People will probably hope the Championship is more rewarding! I presume if you don’t renew you go to the back of the queue so to speak which might put people off not renewing .
Yeah. It won't be. This club is in the mire and it's gonna get a lot worse before it gets better, if that ever happens.
