Hardly anyone got scanned going into the ground this season so I would think the club has no idea if you turned up or not.

Andy Rankin - no hope mercenary? I don't think so. I wouldn't put Bond in that category either (although maybe in his second spell with us, I would).

I feel you. The problem I have, is that we've seen that same lack of belief through several completely separate iterations of the side now.

I was just chatting to a colleague and I'm thinking of throwing myself into following Chesham for the foreseeable future. They're local to me, need my money more and I will probably get back some of the connection that I lost to Watford over the past 3 years. I'll never be a Chesham fan, beyond a causal interest but that might be what I need to avoid the angst and disappointment that Watford are responsible for these days, after 30 years of home games.

I've literally started a thread on it and already made plans not to go.

Wtf more do I need to do?

Don’t know where you sit but certainly in the SEJ it pretty seamless now getting in.

One thing that might have improved this season .

Not a personal attack at all - you bought the ticket, it’s your money and I support your right to do as you wish.

But just this morning it sounded like you were ready to make a personal stand by not going - and now just a few hours your view is ‘may as well go…’

I think Gino relies on this type of apathy.

(As I sat, not personal at all. More of a broader point and I accept the fact you have already invested the money in travel/ticket etc is likely informing your choice which is more than fair)

If he can’t afford it, he should have been been honest and open about it. But that doesn’t sit in Gino’s personality wheelhouse.

I appreciate you don’t think boycotting games is the answer. What would you suggest would be a good and powerful way to get Gino talking and open to change?

Jumping in here but I do think I’ve come round the idea of a coordinated in game protest. A large banner saying “Gino: buck up or sell up” gets a good and fair point across that lots of fans can get behind. The problem with boycotts is omissions are hard to ascribe to particular causes - are fans not showing up to show displeasure with the Pozzos? Or because the football on offer is crap? Or because it’s cold? Or because they have prior commitments etc? Without full coordination (which you won’t get) it’ll just look like fans couldn’t be bothered. Pretty hard to explain away/ignore a large banner with a fair message supported by large swathes of the fan base.

Watford players would be up in arms with the amount of running and pressing they'd have to do in the oppositions half.
In all honesty I'd love it, they're are a team I go out of my way to watch and play the high intensity football I enjoy watching.
Would the idiots in charge give him the time to change the philosophy of the club and the players needed? I very much doubt it. To be honest I'm not even sure he wants out, he's loving it up in the arctic circle.

    They’d have to do?

We all know they just wouldn’t do it and the coach would get sacked.

No point doing anything collective until we're mathematically down as it's not our players' fault they're mostly crap so might as well continue to encourage them with mild applause and an occasional evening game with inexplicably good atmosphere.

Looks like we'll be down with at least a couple of home games to spare so at that point maybe everyone could walk out on 15 minutes to represent the 15 managers we've had under the Pozzos. Granted, might be 16 by then so might have to delay by another minute. The majority of the stadium walking out early in the game would send a message.

They should be 3 up tonight already.

Don't agree. My issues go deeper than relegation. It's the whole shitshow.

I wouldn't want any protest to be written off as a kneekerk reaction to relegation.

That would be a massive step up for him but they would definitely like his style of football there.

That’s fine. But - if the fans stay away from games and make it known that their reasoning is frustration with his silence and aspects of his ownership…if he just ignores that and continues as is, is that really someone even the most hardy of WFC fans would want in charge?

Lower GT. it’s fine now but for about the first 10 games the stewards swiped us in with their cards.

No it isn’t but not sure to what level non attendance would need to get to for it to be taken seriously. Lack of success will bring smaller crowds but not at the level for a while that will make Gino take notice. I would think under 10k but I don’t see that happening. I don’t want to stop going. I’ve been going for 40+ years, probably 2000 games. I’ve seen many owners, managers and players, some good and some bad. Not sure where I put the current regime. What I’m trying to say is I’ve seen an awful lot worse than the current situation and never once have I thought about boycotting. I would probably prefer the Grimsby at home approach but appreciate that’s not advisable anymore

That was towards the end of his second spell, but you're correct in saying that earlier on he had been a good player for us. His career went off the rails a bit after a big money move to Spuds...he only played 23 times in 3 seasons for them. Suspicion was he had got in with the drinking crowd and wasn't good enough to rise above the effects of that lifestyle on his performances.

Since when has the purchase of a season ticket been with the caveat of a refund if a club gets relegated?
