Even if it's not true, you'd think that the fact that it is even being rumoured that Foster - a Premier League goalkeeper - was unable to play for his club at the weekend because he got injured in a midweek Youtube game would be enough to give him a reality check and make him rethink his priorities. Complete joke that the club even considered allowing this.
Those would be two of the only reasons I'd expect the average spotty 'Murikan teen to know anything about Watford, if I'm honest. 3) and 4) would be Elton John and Jay DeMerit respectively.
Well Okoye knackered his shoulder at the weekend against Ajax and could be a doubt for the AFCON, not that it affects us yet but shoulder injuries take ages to heal and they're usually weaker after an injury.
Jesus, you lot are getting worked up over a 15 minute cameo in a CHARITY event. Foster could be out on the lash at 6pm every Friday and he'd get less abuse than he gets for Cycling and being a bit ott on YouTube. Legend for me. Absolute baller. C'mon the boys.
Yes, nothing to see here. Just a minor knock. Fit and ready to play at the weekend. It’s purely coincidence that Bachmann will be in goal for the next 2 months. Squad rotation.
Fair point. He could also be doing things like stuffing the home end full of Liverpool fans who get kicked out
FWIW David James's daughter used to attend the same hockey squad as mine. Nice bloke, very chatty, someone mentioned him getting in a (hockey) GK's kit and the girls (u10?) hitting a few balls at him - he was at the time working "...up the road..." and replied that his club contract/insurance specifically forbade doing anything like that because of the injury risk...
So Foster did run around in a charity game whilst carrying an injury. And he lied about it if the clubs words are to be believed. Parody of a football club at this point.
Absolutely disgraceful. He's a top professional though according to the Cycling GK fanboys who stick up for him and his antics.
And they are already. ‘There’s a big difference running around in a charity game to playing a PL game’. We don’t only have COGs everywhere, we have CyclingGK COGs combined. Imagine desperately needing to be part of a fake community that much.
Late win for the anti-YouTubers! Took an early lead with the article in The Athletic but then the CyclingGK fans came roaring back with the official Foster denial, but now right at the death the club have served up irrefutable evidence that he is an unprofessional berk of the highest order who was carrying an injury and decided to play in a charity game anyway. As Holebas would say #sickofthisshit
Oh for the days of Mad Dog Cholevas....you can understand why he seemed to despise everyone & everything at the club.
Just had a chuckle at the fact that Foster said yesterday that hopefully his injury is nothing serious when he already knew he was out for at least a month. Not only has he aggravated his injury playing with some YouTube bellends he then goes and lies to the dribbling masses who lapped it all up.
Leventhal has doubled down on this in his latest article this morning. Says it’s ‘known’ that some people at the club were ‘surprised’ at him taking part when it came to light, that Foster had had the issue for some time and felt pain after the United game (prior to the charity involvement). Another club source has said it is ‘unlikely to have gone down well’ with club bosses. So - not ‘fake news’ as @The Voice of Reason likes to believe it.
I really do hope we see Ranieri clamping down on all this nonsense. What with all the lockdown nonsense from a few players (one chief instigator), Deeney’s involvement with Ivic getting sacked and Duxbury’s idiotic statement defending him - and now Foster’s repeated transgressions. There’s clearly no code of conduct behind the scenes - not one anyone takes seriously anyway. Think the last time one was implemented it was by Gracia and we were largely successful in that season. I think Ranieri has the gravitas to set professional standards and make them stick. The lunatics have run the asylum for too long now. The fact that Foster was reprimanded over the whole UFC/tickets thing - and then has done this a few weeks later speaks volumes about the attitude some of them have towards disciplinary standards.
One in the eye for all the absolute random fucckwits claiming that just because Foster issued a late, fuzzy denial (whilst knowingly lying about his injury situation) Leventhal must have been purposefully jeopardising his entire position as sole tier 1 reporter/mouthpiece for the club by making his earlier groin strain information up.
I notice none of his recent 'content' has been filmed at the training ground or has anything to do with Watford. Makes me think he definitely aggravated his injury playing in the Hashtag United game and got an absolute bollocking from the club.
Or being injured hasn’t been around the squad due to COVID ? I agree there certainly has been less of the videos .
