Yep, Norwich could have really caught up on us, and Newcastle, as bad as they are now, we can't bank on them being so bad after January. The most encouraging thing was how Norwich had such an advantage all game but couldn't take advantage, and that Newcastle still couldn't see it out against another basement battler

Strange that Zaha wasn't pulled up for using Raphinha's shin as a surfboard. If it were the other way around they'd be baying for a red.

 

If they keep on their current course, I actually think we can. Howe isn’t a big name to attract players as it is - if they are 10+ points adrift, all they will attract is highly paid, average players on some sort of loans I expect. There’s going to big issues about motivation there I think. They certainly won’t be getting superstars in their current predicament.

Players like Deli Ali spring to mind, who if anything will probably make them worse based on their circumstances.

 

That was a great result for us. Wonderful seeing Geordie fans crying into their tea towels. Still no wins in 14 games…..and we’re still not alone in not keeping a clean sheet. Newcastle, the club that keeps giving.

 

Yep, we want them as far adrift as possible. Then they'll be reduced to signing highly paid players that don't care about dropping down into the Championship and winning it with a record points tally next year.

 

Leeds Palacae is somehow a worse game than Newcastle Norwich.

 

Flicked it on and immediately saw Zaha treading on Raphinha then five minutes later doing his crazy bug eye thing at the ref when he didn't spot a handball.

 

At least we have one team worse than us in terms of their defence (no clean sheets like us) and how many winnable games they have f*cked up.

Leeds are a bit like a much less worse but still **** version of Sheffield Utd, in that they’ve got a few lower league players that are now catching up with them.

 

That is the really frustrating thing right now. Newcastle and Leeds should have been 6 points. They really are both *****.

Things could improve for Leeds once Bamford comes back but they didn't win any games this season with him in the team. And surely they won some games last season with him out (assuming he didn't play every game)?

 

This Leeds vs Palace game is so crap that even Will Hughes is fit to grace it.

The funny thing is Norwich had more shots on target than all the other three teams playing tonight combined.

 

We did make them look good, but then again the game was actually a draw.

I think the penalty was justified.

It came from a header from a corner, it was very close to Gilmour but he stupidly jumped with his elbow stuck out above his head (def unnatural position).

And as I type, Leeds get lucky in being awarded a penalty from a similar stupid and unnecessary handball from a player (Guehi) jumping with his arm miles from his body.

Completely undeserved for lucky Leeds. Not good for us.

Still peeved that we were unfairly denied a draw against them.
