We used to - but I think having the last few seasons seeing Andre' Gray put tap ins into the allotments behind the Vicarage made most of us numb to that idea.

Invited to the Man Utd box and as it happened they were playing Watford.

We had already beaten them 3-1 at our place, yet over the tannoy I heard "Watford today. It should be a routine win." To which I couldn't hold my tongue and shouted "hang on a minute, 'we' lost 3-1 to this lot at the beginning of the season".

Strangely, my lack of Manc accent wasn't noticed in a sea of Surrey prawn sandwiches.

We lost. But at 2-0 up most Utd fans were heading for the exits, not even waiting for that full time roar. These "fans" of teams that win every week have no idea what it is like to support a football team. A crisis is finishing 5th to them.

I sit in the away end whenever we play Fulham as I’ve got mates who support them, so go with them. They’re probably an even more passive bunch of fans than us, and whenever I’ve been I normally seem to be surrounded by Americans who have never been to a football match, talk through the entire game and don’t know what is going on anyway. I’m pretty sure if you celebrated a Watford goal nobody would even notice.

If you did just put on an American accent and pretend you didn't realise that the teams swapped which goals they were "scoring on" at the half time commercial break.

As opposed to doing a face palm, yeah I wouldn’t find that easy to remember not to do either.

I remember when we lost 4-1 to United in the Semi-final at Villa Park (2007?) and a few United fans were in the Holte End with us and were sent on their merry way. One falling down several stairs as I recall. That's how you should be treated if you sit in with the opposition supporters and give it large. That reaction from the Man Utd fans towards that Villa fan was truly pathetic!

It was 6-1 - I suppose it was OK not to celebrate their goal as they were 4-0 down by that stage and most of them didn’t care?

Get this weird little freak released ASAP and in the meantime make him train on his own where he can't poison the other players in the squad with his joke of an attitude.

I don't even want to see him on the bench at Everton.

In all seriousness, I’ve just checked, we’ve never played Boreham Wood in a competitive fixture - that could change in the FA Cup this season though!

The clubs could be just two divisions apart next season with Stevenage’s seemingly unassailable position as Hertfordshire’s second team under threat.

You do have to wonder what his teammates think of it all.

Obviously some don't seem to mind it (Troost-Ekong's starting his own blog ffs), but it must be quite irritating, and probably distracting, for others.

I can only speak for myself, but if I was working with some buffoon who was constantly sticking a camera in my face and talking about ketchup, I'd get pretty p1ssed off with them.

I mentioned on another thread that I sat with Ipswich fans at Portman Road in our 98-99 promotion season. Older forumites might remember this match - we went 3-0 down after about 60 minutes. I vaguely recall standing up with other fans when Ipswich scored each time, but I couldn't bring myself to cheer. Then we got one back, and then another. I stayed seated, but allowed myself a small almost invisible fist clench, especially after the second. Then, with about 2 minutes to go, Ben Iroha - he of the bunions - missed a straightforward chance to equalise. I coudn't restrain myself from shouting out in annoyance. I got some very nasty stares from the home fans, but actually they were all very pleasant to me after the match, wishing us luck for the rest of the season etc.

If he's got any sense he won't associate with any scousers in future. They can't be trusted to keep quiet, everything is about them.

Its a privilege to even have salah at our poxy stadium etc.

We wouldn't be questioning the YouTube channel half as much if this Paddy pillock hadn't gone to the game.

The 'Wood have played the scummers twice - losing both FA cup games.

Barnet (FC) used to be sticklers for describing themselves as being in Barnet, Herts. The Underhill School Barnet has Hertfordshire's coat of arms as a frieze above its portico (probably not the correct architectural terms, apols really shyte photo):

Nice story. Do you think they were bluffing or annoyed at spotting a Watford fan there but then thought just one isn’t much to get bothered about?

I had a soft spot for Ipswich during the turn of the millennium and thought this is the kind of club that we should aspire to be like - they really should have gone up in our place and based on their season after they eventually went up they would’ve made a far better fist of it than we did. But there’s no guarantee we’d have gone up the following season if we hadn’t won the play-off semis against Brum (a tie that really could have gone either way) as proved when we failed to even reach the play-offs with the additions of Nielsen, H, Wooter and Baardsen - a club our size pre-Pozzos had to take our few chances as they came along.

The latter, I think. And of course, they had won the match.

Yes, the season after we were relegated was disappointing, especially after such a good start.

So the vid was up and people watched it but it was removed because not everyone could watch? Somebody mentioned in the community comments section of his channel something about the video title and description taking the piss or something. The video should be on by now, wonder what is going on?

The only times I’ve been sat in the home end instead of with our fans was the irrelevant 2-0 defeat away at Southampton in 15/16, and an FA Cup tie away at Man City in which we lost 3-0. Seem to remember Forestieri missing a golden chance that day.

You're the new insert famous film director name in here. Maybe Ben can send his gormless one brain cell followers free tickets to see the next debacle.

Do the decent thing and resign from the club. You're a laughing stock for all the genuine fans versus the bottom smoochers and teenage pinheads. And your antics have made the club a laughing stock which you then have the nerve and temerity to like and agree with all in the name of garnering likes for yourself and cyber applause from your delinquent army. Had GT been around I don't think his backside would have touched the floor before it sailed over the Colne.

Decent keepers like Tony Coton and Alec Chamberlain are the ones we love because they share our love and pride in the club. Not you sunshine. I might not like Hughes as much now as I did last season. But he certainly could sniff out a rotten apple. Not to mention he clearly has the edge in education over our very own polemic wit Alexander Ben Foster Pope.

I'm enjoying fans of other clubs telling us he's retiring soon and just having a laugh. Of course what we need right now is our keeper twatting about on YouTube all week with some teenagers and emptying his Manscaped balls all over the opposition.

    Agreed.

Sadly its probably a nice little earner given the size of it now - and it has sponsors and all sorts which may be under contract? I genuinely think he'd prefer to immediately retire than can the YouTube stuff. Still, at least that would automatically take us out of it!

Fun fact - I met Damien Lewis an his wife and kids some years ago at a meet the locals police thing on Hampstead Heath. Lovely bloke and he completely ripped the pease from me for having a Watford season ticket.
I don’t hold it against him and anyway, I know where he lives. Lol.

In the late 80s when I lived and worked (as a copper) in the North East I went in the Millwall end at Ayresome Park. As ai have a cockney accent, it seemed best. This was when they were in the top division with Sheringham and Cascarino. And their away support was “pwoper tasty”. They didn’t celebrate when they scored either. Not cool apparently. And I was an hour and a half late getting home as the lovely Cleveland Police locked us all in the ground for ages after the final whistle.

I presume your reply to him was along those lines?
