#WatfordFC transfer breaking Deal now agreed for Moussa Sissoko to join from #THFC after discussions today. Understand 2 year contract with option of further year, fee in region of £5m. Medical completed.

That's a very good piece of business by the club. To negotiate with Levy and to get Sissoko for only £5m!! Gino genius status has been restored.

Good point, Levy was described by Pep as a 'master negotiator' earlier today, definitely no hint of annoyance from the bald fraud, no, not one bit!

When we get relegated, you’d imagine there will be somebody out there who’ll take him off our hands, but I reckon he gives us a better shot at survival than we’d ever have had with Hughes in his place.

If we’re able to get Etebo, Kucka, and Sissoko on the pitch together for an extended run of games, it’s got the makings of a fantastic trio who’d win plenty of midfield battles.

Wouldn’t be surprised if it was an initial £2.5 million for Sissoko, but I’d imagine AL is probably right with the overall price.

 

Gino saved himself some money, so he can give Deeney a sack of cash to do one

 

Sounds too good to be true when you factor in that it’s Levy…. Which means Saar must be going the other way

Our Sissoko news has been somewhat overshadowed by the return of the best player in the world.

 

Which is the part of the deal I don't get.

Does he just want first team football and is happy to take a pay cut? Or are we matching his current salary?!

If it's the former it bodes well for his attitude. If it's the latter then may be that's why we are suddenly desperate to move Deeney on!

 

Which is all well and good, but why turn down £125m for Kane then?

 

Sissoko prob won’t be offered too much more in wages than we offered Hughes , so effectively we swapped Sissoko + £5mill for Hughes .

 

We got Etienne for £6m didn't we ?

 

He only cost them £9m, not £30m.

Looking at his appearances towards the end of last season, he was on the bench from March to May so assume he wants to play.

Pure speculation here, but he may have aspirations to play in the World Cup so he needs to play and likely has been told he's not going to get much playing time by Nuno.
