Reckon he'll end up being worth more than Adam Armstrong, personally. Don't think Armstrong is worth anything like the prices being quoted.
I agree with the second point. Not sure what body of evidence there is to support the first point though, that’s all. But it’s all about opinions!
Not that I'm against us signing Armstrong but we have an army of strikers currently. Can we not palm off all our dud strikers to Blackburn in exchange.
Totally right. Also, if the player knows that Premier League clubs are sniffing around he will probably look to force the move himself, thus removing any leverage all together! I don't think an offer of £10m plus Gray & Perica is unfair.
I would be happy to offer Gray, Deeney, Dennis, Fletcher, Louza, the fish bloke, Foster, Hogg and Munoz if only to be different.
Gray's wages aren't an issue for Blackburn I expect. We'd likely have to pick up a fair slice of those
Blackburn don't want him because he's absolute dog dirt. If only we'd had Blackburn's recruitment team 4 years ago.
We have a plethora of players we could offer Blackburn for the deal but chose Gray to completely **** it up. Like a former Burnley player is going to be welcome with open arms by the Blackburn supporters.
Gray would be an asset to Blackburn. They'd be lucky to have him! £18m striker after all. (that's how we do it, right?)
Success is probably the only one who Blackburn might have use for, but still wouldn't knock much more than about £1mil off the price. TDB on loan could also help as a sweetener to encourage them to do a deal, but wouldn't really save us anything on the fee.
He'd be a good signing but only if we can get hold of that Richard Osman to play up front with him. Classic big man - small man partnership. Any other options are pointless to explore.
Reported by someone known to make things up apparently. https://sportslens.com/adam-armstro...lous-player-plus-cash-move-to-watford/373284/
Alan Nixon is generally pretty good but I wouldn't say he's 100% reliable by any means. For example he broke the Etebo deal before anyone else, but also said Borre would be joining us.
Don't think they'd be getting that if he had 5 years to run on his deal. Only proven at Championship level, no Premier League club in their right mind would spend 25-30m on a striker. Worth no more than £15m, especially in this market.
Shame we never cut it when we had plenty of cloth to cut, and instead sent bolts of it to Udinese and Grenada in return for utter gash players to give them a boost.
It happens with every youngster - Brendan Mason was going to be the next thing after being the least **** player in a 10 minute cameo against Spurs. The fact that he couldn't control a football and his positional sense was appalling seemed to get overlooked
Benrahma was a £5 mil loan and £20 mil transfer fee, with potential further add ons. Maupay believed to be around £20 mil. Now are Watford about to spend that much on a striker, when our approach to strikers has generally been anything but... leave it to others to decide...
I was pottering round the garden yesterday, having a drink and so forth and had some music on. This song came on and I suddenly thought it would be a great song for Kieffer Moore: Absolutely no idea if it is already but at the time, semi inebriated, it’s seemed like a great idea and made me wish we would sign him just for that.
I'm surprised nobody seems to be interested in him! Cardiff might just squeeze an extra year out of him!
Villa and West Ham are on another planet sometimes to be fair. Plus liked for 'Touche'. Always reminds me of the turtle. Touche away!
The scum saying we’ve had a £15m bid rejected. Can’t understand why we want yet another striker - surely there are areas in need of more focus.
There is just surely absolutely positively no way in hell whatsoever that the Pozzo have bid £15m for a striker from the Championship. I can scarcely believe it for any player at all, but if we were thinking of spending that money, surely it would be in a foreign market.
