I'm not tolerating any Rinaldi slander, I remember that defence splitting pass against City, only for Foster to **** it up, where's Danny Bachmann when you need him ffs
I'm hearing that he wears Watford shin pads and has changed his ringtone to Sweet Caroline. It's a done deal.
If he's not even starting for Palmeiras then how can we expect him to be good enough for us in the PL yet?!
They're probably worried about him getting injured or Danilo got a mystery knock that healed while sitting on the bench.
I presume that Palmeiras are either preparing for life without him or else they're rotating ahead of their cup match on Thursday. They have plenty of cover in midfield which is why they seem happy enough to allow him leave and will invest the money in other areas. I'll be chatting my mate in Brazil later in the week and will see if there's any more news on potential links. He's just a fan so no inside info but will know what the rumours around the club are.
I think he started the game before so was probably just rotated due to the schedule. Nothing to see here, we're stuck with the Louza from Nantes instead.
The country Brazil was named after the nut. Not the other way round. True story. (I only know this because I once heard Danny Baker say it, so it may or may not be true)
Or we don't rate Gosling or Cleverley enough to be regular's at PL level. And Quina likely to leave. TDB not at the required level - when you look at the variables, it wouldn't be a surprise to see us add another CM without losing one of the key players in there. I think they will want an out and out defensive midfielder to sit in front of the back 4.
That was my thought, in that the club have made such a mess of trying to sign a striker over the past five seasons they’ve just given up completely.
It's supposed to be named after the brazil trees that explorers found on the coastal margins. Portuguese sailors after the Papal Bull split the world into a Spanish and Portuguese zone of influence. A couple million more will do it for a player that will make us that back with interest. We need quality in midfield. Louza adds some Danilo some more. We were fortunate in having Capoue and Doucoure and then Geri or Pereyra wide to have a top class midfield outside of the big six that could boss games. The current midfield cannot.
God we ****ed that opportunity up good and proper! Just one even semi-competent striker and maybe a half decent defender and we'd have stayed up easily! It's got me thinking, OK, our midfield is not as strong now (in all likelihood that'd be the case whoever comes and goes), we'll have a task and a half to replace Geri (who, admittedly played all too little alongside Sarr), but seeing as our defence is arguably better now, if we get a decent Prem striker, are we actually in a better position to stay up than last season?
Even if we somehow assemble a squad that is better than last time around, we’ve still got the huge question mark about how well Munoz will handle what is essentially an entirely different challenge, where tactics actually matter.
Well we had QSF for 10 games last season, who turned out to be exactly the opposite of what we needed, and Pearson, who also seemed to be a bit of a pashun merchant
I didn't know that, but I knew that Venezuela was named due to the huts built on stilts over the Orinoco river, which made it look like a 'little Venice.'
Interesting. I'd heard that Venice was named after Venezuela, given the local petroleum, coffee and cocoa industries reminded Marco Polo of the Venezuelan landscape. Not sure he'd been there but I believe he'd watched a documentary.
