Based on the different formations i tend to think the names of the ones who won't play are drawn out the hat and written off. The hat with the squad names is then booted across the changing room, and the players play where their name falls on the floor.

The whole team rared up at Ivic in the dressing room before the game apparently.*

If he's not gone tonight it'll be announced tomorrow I should think. If he's not sacked he'll probably walk, then we can debate player power.

This is on Gino and Duxbury.
We are in a cycle of ineptitude and Gino,by cultivating the aura around Deeney has created a problem for the club as a whole.
    Pitiful state of affairs.
Ivic has nowhere to go but out now.
Footnote is that as of 6.04pm no match report on WO site.
Something brewing or just their falling standards?

If this is so then Foster's aberration can be explained.

I hate to think that, but Foster and Capoue doing something like that after a pre-match bust up. Seems a bit too coincidental to me. Even before the season Foster has never been too complimentary about Ivic, and he is super nice about everyone.

One way out of the financial mess Covid will have created would be a tax on Pozzo sacking payouts.

This is exactly what I said was going to happen if Deeney stayed at the club. The poison is Deeney.

4 goals all season on the road says it all.

That would be poor if you were at the bottom and had a bunch of kids!

Let alone some quite expensive attacking players.

We seem to pick up endless injuries which hardly help and go out to not lose rather than win.

And of course that goes out of the window if we make a few mistakes like today like Foster and Capoue did.

I think the majority of us on here want Ivic gone, for many obvious reasons, but leaving following a bust up with the players will just reinforce to these prima donnas that they can just down tools whenever they want and the manager takes the blame. No ideal way out of this mess.

The away from is extremely poor, and makes no sense this season with no fans. Only 4 goals scored is pathetic even for a team rooted to the bottom of the table.

I'm pretty sure there will be an announcement over the next 24 hours. I'd be very surprised if Ivic will be taking training on Monday.

Ivic quote when discussing Deeney: 'Nobody and no none can be above the club in my team when I'm coach'

The problem we have at the club couldn't be clearer. It's impossible for any manager to manage the dressing room with Troy in it.

Troy acts as if he's above the manager in the club hierarchy. He's destroying our season and our best chance of returning to the PL. The guy is a toxic self-serving c*nt.

Fighting a losing battle with it.

Our idiot fans will continue to relentlessly lick his ars*hole clean at every opportunity regardless of any of this and/or his actual performances on the pitch, and for whatever reason the club are clearly scared of the bloke.

I am never one for wanting the manager out but if we stick with Ivic we probably don't make the play offs. Problem is I can't see another manager getting much of a tune out of our players.

Another bustup between players and the manager? Sigh. Did Deeney get together a player's union for Ivic to walk the plank? When will this revolving door of managers ever end.

Cant blame Troy for ruining our season Ivic and his style ruined it from the start. With the exception of Preston at home has anyone actually enjoyed one game? Maybe Deeney was right to say something this time round. What kind of player wants to play such boring defensive football against teams like Huddersfield and Birmingham City. The players look like they have no idea what our tactics are.

But Ivic insists on shooting himself in the foot. The squad he’s been given is based around attacking players, so why persist in such a defensive approach? He undermines any respect he may gain by standing up to toxic elements in the dressing room if his tactical decisions simply prove the point those players are making.

Based around attacking players but without a competent striker. Discuss.

I wonder if the injuries are partially not helped by the culture. I remember Darren Bazeley playing half a season through pain, because we needed him. This lot probably look for any excuse to find some small problem at this time, to get them out of having to play.

This is how the dressung room has been operating under Deeney's 'leadership' for years. It's a pi$$ take

That makes a lot of sense.

I do wonder as well if the playing staff are split into (at least) two camps. Those who back the voices who challenge the head coach and those who don't. I'd hate to be Ngakia, Garner or any young pro being part of a divided changing room if that is the case.

For any new manager to stand a chance they need to sideline Deeney from day one, then it can’t become an issue that will inevitably come back to bite them later on.

Like Mazzarri, Ivic stood up to Troy. Same outcome. Troy is the main man here not the manager. Mr Watford, the epitomy of the club's post GT values. We r fuct.

    Worked out well today!

Probably just told Vlad to cheer up or something in the hotel.

If it was that serious then he should have not been on the bench full stop

FFS are you seriously suggesting Foster would deliberately do something like that. The mind boggles.

It’s unfortunate that this has coincided with Ivic reaching a point that it’s clear he’s not the answer.

Sacking him is inevitable now, but it will also serve to reinforce a massive issue within the club that has plagued us for years.

Whilst Deeney very likely had a point (as we can all see plenty of issues as fans) it’s simply not his place or job to point those issues out, it’s unacceptable.

We can’t sack the manager and ignore the other huge issue within the club, so in my opinion any new manager needs to make an example of Troy otherwise they don’t stand a hope as soon as things go wrong.
