Not taking any prisoners this season - Charlie Richardson and Andre Kray up front; perhaps we should make an approach for 'Mad' Ryan Fraser to supply the ammunition.

Those poor defenses were State Leagues that are very poor.
In fact, Brazilian CBs, full backs and attacking players - in general - have better stats in Europe than in Brazil; the problem are the midfielders that tend to flop in other leagues.

The aim of the law in the case of football differs from the aims of normal immigration law. This isn't about ensuring costs of hosting him are covered so tax paid doesn't come into it.

Plus HG status does not equal English or British. Any player of any nationality can meet those criteria if they happened to be at an English club in the very early stages of their career. In fact I can't see any reason why you couldn't have a player who was considered both HG under Premier League rules and who required a work permit to be in the country lawfully. The two classifications aren't mutually exclusive.

I think this version of rules is lots better than the previous subjective 'make it up as you go along', big clubs grease the wheels better system that existed before. It certainly doesn't prejudice us. I mean, Issac Success got a work permit and he'll be playing third division Turkish football by the end of the decade. If he can get one anyone can.

Thats not really the case though is it. The bigger clubs have more money and can afford to buy the better players, the better players naturally won't struggle to get a work permit because they will easily meet the criteria, they are worth more and more likley to have played for their national team quite a lot. It's not really in Man City's interest to pay over the odds for a mediocre Brazilian who isn't really worth that much is it? What do they stand to gain? That's the whole point of the need for a work permit, to stop sub standard foreign players taking the position of an equally talented homegrown player who just happens to be more expensive.

He can finish with both legs with same level. Is right footed but scored half his goals with the left.

In 2016 he was supposed to be better than Gabriel Jesus; but had some injuries in the feet and was playing for a traditional but poor club, while Gabriel was in the richest club of the continent and current Brazilian champion(Palmeiras).

He's an overall better player than Gabriel Jesus - imo; but majority of Brazilians will not say that because we tend to rate players based on international status.

If it was the WC final and we had a last ball to score, i would pass it to Richarlison instead of Gabriel for sure.

Bad thing is: Richarlison is really selfish in the attack and never pass the ball.
He's not a winger, more like a 9 playing wide.
Pretty sure he will become a CF in europe.

Fluminense have a fantastic academy and they sell players very cheap because they're broke.
They formed guys like Thiago Silva and Marcelo.
They have a box2box named Wendell(19) who's an amazing player.
Porto will sign him for something like £7 millions...Watford should get him, will be in the NT very soon.
I prefer the Brazilian players going to England because is the only league that is decent to watch tbh.

I enjoyed reading your report, particularly as You Tube highlights and the musings of various football journalists don't always give a true picture. I actually like the bit where you say he is selfish, less a winger and more likely to become a CF in Europe. Interesting that he was more highly rated than Gabriel Jesus at one stage and you seem to think he is the better player. Let's hope Silva and Watford can help him develop and that he enjoys the EPL. Come on You Horns!

Whilst I am not trying to kid myself that this guy is the answer to all my prayers, it is great that we now have a player that is positive, mobile, skillful and, perhaps most important of all, will actually make our opposition defenders worry about what could happen. For the last couple of years, we have been toothless. But no longer.

I am so pleased with this signing.

I would also add that for half a season Iggy was in great unpredictable form that induced wariness in defences. Plus partnership with Deeney was excellent when it worked. Our attack has looked pedestrian lately and we did need to re-inject the creative elements that a Pereyra or Richarlison can bring if we want to thrive.

That's not really what I meant comrade. I was talking people in general, not just footballers.

There's a lot of people in poverty, just like you me and our families, that would like to come and stay here for a while to get a bit of money back to their family and try to get their life back on track.

Unfortunately they can't kick a football well enough, so there's no chance of a work permit. As I said, shameful that there's one rule for one and another for us poor.

  32. a19tgg

    a19tgg First Team

Ahh apologies, I wrongly assumed you meant the richer clubs are more likley to get the work permits accepted. Instead it's a case of if you'll make the EPL more attractive and make us lots of money in the process then you're fine to come over and work, but otherwise we're not interested. I couldn't agree more.

Not yet available for transfer in premier league fantasy football, worryingly this could be a sign his transfer has hit a snag so I'm not counting chickens before I can put him in my squad.
