So is he the replacement for the departing Igloo or the injured Pereyra ? He can't be both.

Some good points. However, I spoke to a West Ham friend and here's what he had to say:-

    'Absolute gash, bruv.'

I think he's more of a Pereyra replacement.

Im guessing it'll be Zarate & Gabbiadini in Ighalo out in terms of transfer fees.

West Ham mate at work described him as a "luxury player" and "totally inconsistent".

    Should fit right in.

Hopefully there are some very quiet deals going on in the background and all these rumours are exactly that! Probably not though......two thirds of the window gone now

    £2.5m is absolute flippin' peanuts!

I know I was initially a bit skeptical earlier in the thread but at that bargain price and if it's not affecting getting anyone else in why the hell not.

Potentially a very expensive bench warmer or the biggest scoop of the year if he can bundle his way into the first team.

Brilliant news. That's pereyra covered. Now lets get a striker and this has been a fantastic window.

Thanks. There's been so many reports about Zarate in the last couple of days it looked inevitable. Sky got it wrong when they said we weren't interested.

    Excellent signing.

I'm of the opinion that this player will leave the Premier League in ruins.

    Can't wait.

Wasn't thrilled to be linked with him given his previous spells in the league, but he seems to have done well at Fiorentina and we are crying out for creativity. Hopefully he provides it, if not, it's not a huge amount of money to waste and hopefully we'd scrape survival even without extra creativity (though that would rely heavily on Hull, Swansea and one other losing virtually every game for the rest of the season!)

Mauro will have noticed the similarity between the Duomo and the Harlequin.

A natural move for the fellow!

West Ham fans generally seem to rate him.

I suppose you could argue they rated Diamanti as well!

For £2.5 million it's low risk and we are desperate for someone that can produce a bit of magic out of nowhere. Potentially this could be a master stroke by WM and could save his job if he comes in and hits the ground running.

Watched a Youtube highlights video of him which was 5 minutes of him very skilfully running down blind alleys - dribbles like Messi, end product of Steve Kabba. I'm in.

Horrible little signing for a horrible little manager. Who the **** looked at our squad and decided we needed another inconsistent, overpaid foreign **** nearing retirement who is likely to further disrupt the already fractured dressing room?

Happy enough with this although we probably could have found a better option but maybe not at that price.

More stats ..... he's got better goals/assists ratio per mins played in the EPL than lanzini and payet as well as bojan

His goals per game look low because he rarely plays the full 90.

Its a big shout but I think hes going to beceom a club legend along with Diamante, Ibarbo and Merkel.
