Nope, it was 12pm today. Not sure if either Kaboul or Pereyra got registered in time.

Really excited about this guy. If he lives up to the hype then top half might not be out of reach.

I know a few on these forums will be gutted that we've made this stunning signing, as their misery will no longer have a place, but this is a fantastic piece of business by the club.

What a signing.....and only for £13m? Well actually £16.5m spent on Pereyra and Kaboul today.

As Del Boy would say......"Well bruv, we've had worse days".

What an excellent signing. It's amazing that we've strengthened all the areas we needed to strengthen from last season and yet we're still being completely written off by everyone. Really looking forward to this season and some attacking flair on show.

WD were right about the permit, even if the club have already announced the deal. Just saying.

"The Hornets are delighted to announce the signing of Argentina international Roberto Pereyra, subject to a work permit."

    Brilliant signing, as was Kaboul.

    Hopefully get Kenedy too.

Very happy with this. Massive statement signing a player of his calibre on the same day as poaching a first team player from an established PL side.

    Well done Gino :drinking:

I suspect The Pozzos waved it which might explain the cheaper than expected price

How much did Juve pay for him? Will assume Udinese made a significant profit on the £2m they paid River Plate.

Looking at our trading deficit, it's probably only about £17m down. (I'm looking at transfer fees only and not the salaries and extended contracts to Deeney and Iggy)

Gone are Jurado, Layun, Pudil, Abdi, Belkalem, Ekstrand and Angella for around £13m. (Paredes & Arlauskis to follow)

We've signed Pererya, Kaboul, Success, Sinclair, Kabasele, Zuniga, Djedje for around £30m. I'm not including the fee for Success as that's still in the Pozzo pocket.

Put it this way, we've signed Pereyra, Kaboul & Success for the same price as Bournemouth have signed Ibe, Cook & Smith!!

To those who lacked faith and doubted how shrewd our owners are......there's your answer.

Yea, that "fee" was just to make sure he got a work permit
