Anyone think these signings suggest we're going to 433? Sinclair, Success, Peneranda all wide forwards.
I think it'll be more of a 3-5-2 That's pretty much Mazzarri's M.O. Probably with one of the CM's attack minded, behind the strikers.
Now reported on SSN 09:47 BREAKING NEWS Watford complete signing of Isaac Success from Granada for club record fee in the region of £12.5m. http://www.skysports.com/transfer-centre
Adam Leventhal: Gino, I know we've got Success for free, but the plebs that watch this show simply won't believe that, so we're going to have to put a number on this transfer fee. Gino: 12.5 Adam: Why 12.5? Gino: I gave you a number, now use it. SSN: Breaking news, we have just heard that Watford have completed the signing of Isaac Success from their sister club Granada for a club record fee of £12.5 million. Iain Dowie: Madness, just utter madness. How can little tiny Watford afford that? Holloway: Nah Iain me old mucker, they got him because of their same owners. They're cheating and flouting the system using their connections. It's not roight eh, it's not rooooiiiiiiiiiggght. *head proceeds to enlarge and redden before exploding*
I imagine the delay is something to do with the guy that knocks up the obligatory "Welcome to Watford" graphic can't keep up today.
The amount of 'hope Watford get relegated' tweets is amazing. Saying it's ridiculous how we're breaking transfer records and rejecting £38m bids. How funny
This is to be expected. The last thing the fans of other clubs want to see is a strong Watford that won't go away.
Running three successful football clubs and making use of the benefits is blasphemy, but spending vast amounts of blood and oil money is making a statement for the premier league. It just aint roight.
Two clubs, Granada has been sold to a Chinese syndicate/businessman for less than that Chinese club offered for Ighalo.
So Success gets a permit because the transfer fee paid says he is an outstanding prospect - agreed - so why is Pernaranda any different?
The only difference is in the ranking of the national teams. But as I showed on the Penaranda thread, if we wanted a permit for him, we'd get it.
Think it's to do with the price. Success was £3m more than Penaranda, and AFAIK to get the work permit the price has to be in the top 20% of fees paid in the last 5 years or something, although i'm confident the Pozzos know that and have accounted for that to help with the work permit issue.
