Based on not much more than a hunch, I'd rather Berghuis than Perotti.

Younger, cheaper, wants to be here, and scores more goals. Judging by his interviews he seems to be quite level-headed. Looking forward to watching him progress as a player. Could be special.

 

Sure. I guess we will never know now. I did start my post by saying both are good players, so either would have been decent signings for us. There's little doubt Perotti had a very good season last year, although some might consider his goal returns a little disappointing, albeit in a tougher league than the Dutch one.

I'm hoping, in time, Berghuis will be the next Memphis Depay, a player who I exoect to make a huge impact at United.

Perotti clearly doesn't want to be here or he'd be here. On that basis, Berghuis has to be the better option. You don't want players at the club if they aren't up for it, they won't perform.

 

Their fans are absolutely gutted. Really excited about this one.

Interview with a dutch TV channel as he leaves for us. Apparently he had a choice between us and PSV and turned them down. Holy ****!!! The guy definitely looks as if he will be missed, hopefully he does well for us (that's a given though). The article (and him in the video interview) says it's a 4 year deal
