He looks like a very "direct" player. Maybe lacks a little with his final ball, maybe? PS. Just C&P'd the share URL from Youtube. Why didn't it open up in this post? Edit H. you hadn't copied the full url - now fixed
Looks like Fessi runs like a nutter at 4 defenders, passes them and then forgets what to do next. I'd rather Fessi who is settled and a club character.
The difference being Fessi has only done it in the English 2nd tier. This guys has done it in Serie A and La Liga (EDIT)
I think the question that needs to be asked is - "Can he do it on a cold, wet, October afternoon in Stoke?" On that basis, it's a no from me.
Very few goals for an attacking player. Injury prone ? However came on as a sub for Messi for Argentina, so must be better than Messi, so its a "yes" from me.
he is indeed another fessi player that doesn't score goals. however if there is any truth in this it shows ambition
TuttoMercatto just posted this which seems to imply its pretty close... According to reports from the BBC , Diego Perotti is very close to leaving Italy after just one year of residence at Genoa . The Argentine player would in fact very close to wear the shirt of Watford Pozzo newly promoted to the Premier League . The agreement between Preziosi and the English club is very close , with Roma and Inter will therefore resign .
It seems this would quite a coup of it comes off. This article from Dec 14 states hes been in great form and both Milan clubs have been interested... http://forzaitalianfootball.com/2014/12/genoa-star-perotti-drawing-interest-from-inter-and-ac-milan/
...and this article came up on TuttoUdinese this morning... Watford is close to closing a big blow to the market . It is in the pipeline in fact buying from Genoa 's Diego Perotti . Gino Pozzo at this time is negotiating for the Hornets the Argentine midfielder for whom Preziosi asked 10 million euro . Watford it would offer about 7 and the parties would be really close to closing . Perotti this year was the author of a great season with the Griffon , where he scored four goals and provided six assists, dragging the team area in Europe .
Blimey! Very impressive. Was one of best players in Genoa who came 6th WT, is that team selected by stats or by subjective opinion, do you think ?
Think it's a mix of loads of different stats; key passes, successful dribbles etc, to get a score out of 10 in each match. Perotti got an average score of 7.5. It's not a foolproof system mind, and I've often questioned a few of the selections that it's 'chosen' but it's....something.
Italians on twitter seem absolutely astonished and believe he was one of the best players in the league last year. What a ****ing signing.
True, but a subjective opinion isnt foolproof either. Look at some of the bell-endz who they get to choose Sky MoM or at Watford its the matchday sponsor!
Some of those runs in that video reminded me of Kaka when he was in his prime. Could be fantastic on the counter! "I don't care who you are I'm just going to run past you" Takes a very cheeky penalty too!
Unfortunately it's not limited to Sky. Danny Murphy gave Cazorla Man of the Match in the FA Cup final when Sanchez was clearly the best player on the pitch on the day. Rather than being a true Man of the Match award, the pundits instead make a selection so they can say to fellow pundits "see what a clever choice I made". Regardless, this fella looks pretty decent and I think he'll do well if we get him in.
Looking at it from an outsider's pov, why would he leave 6th in Serie A for relegation favourites in the PL?
Pozzo's record in Serie A being transferred to the PL, I suppose. 'The whole project' and 'ambition' has been cited by several previous signings, and I don't think they're mere sound bytes as I don't think we pay over the odds wages-wise. You have the adventure of not only London now, but the PL. And the whole package looks more attractive than we might expect with the owners (and infrastructure I suppose) we have.
