Looks like 'p***k' or 'pick me'. Not healthy but the rest of the squad all seem pretty happy about life there.

Looking at that goal etc, it would be foolish to say "nothing to it" Dyer actively avoids any congrats etc from his team mates and is intent only on on mouthing off at the bench.

It's not a stupid point at all.

Both the secret footballer and Robbie Savage have specifically stated that players will underperform or deliberately concede goals/fouls/cards to try and undermine a manager/head coach they don't want at the club, or to force a transfer through. Savage even admitted having done it himself at one club he was at.

I still think Ekstrand's red card was harsh and nothing more than an accident, but that doesn't mean the scenario suggested by Norn is completely unrealistic. It happens, as confirmed by professional players.

EDIT: Dyer was definitely making a point to the bench there. Whether or not that was a "**** you" or a "pick me next time, I should be starting", I just can't say. I'm going to give Dyer the benefit of the doubt and say the latter: a display from a pro who wants to play and made a point to his head coach.

It's certainly less damning than 3CR made it sound like.

The players seem pretty damn happy with the second goal and there's no sign of a lack of team spirit. As long as they all play for each other and the fans, who cares if they're playing for the manager.

Is that it? The inconclusive evidence from Jon Marks' timeline ?

There is a lot of adding twos to make 5 going on round here.

Yes, it seems there is definitely something going on, but no one here ( and probably not Jon Marks either ) knows the extent of it.

It s more likely to be something minor than it is a major thing that would require Sanninos sacking.

And like its already been said, If Sannino was so disliked and disrespected why would have Tozer, Vydra etc returned and why is Deeney still here when he could have easily rangled a move if he so desired.

Its like an old ladies knitting circle on here sometimes.

Well it's all bleeding circumstantial, it's not like you're ever gonna see rock hard proof of all the reasons as to the reason why a manager leaves, why there's been a training ground bust-up or why players aren't happy with a manager. But as far as circumstantial evidence goes, it's relatively clear.

I know you've not said this either but I'd certainly trust what Marks says over Frank Smith and the Wobby (pretty much Frank's own admission that Marks would know more than he does). Even Marks has said he doesn't know all the intricate details, but what he does know certainly tallies up with what YK has been saying on here.

I suppose the question is, has a team ever won promotion who think their boss is a numpty?

Time and time again we see teams with an average amount of talent but great team spirit do well.

How would you like captain caveman as your boss at work...

I wouldnt say the tweets from Marks s timeline is clear at all. Yes there is some unrest, like there is at every club but its the extent of it that is unclear.

    Just watched those highlights.

There is absolutely ,no way you can tell what Dyer was saying. No way at all. Hilarious that people are saying he called Sannino a *****. Would be interested if we had anyone who could lip read on this forum.

And talk about exageration of how abrasive his goal celebration was.

All he did was walk over to the middle of the pitch and mouth something to the bench probably something along the lines of pick me next time. Nowhere near as extreme as has been described on twitter and 3CR.

Im going with the viewpoints of the people who were actually at the game , who generally give a balanced viewpoint. Rather than the media and social media bias which always carries an alterior motive for exaggerating anything that grabs attention.

I wasn't there, but the highlights show that he didn't WALK to the other side of the pitch, he ran, evading his team-mates rugby-style to get over to the other side as quickly as possible. he certainly had something to say, but I've no idea what it was. Maybe "what a brilliant substitution, Gaffa." Perhaps he'll tell us.

Agreed; from what Marks and Holdsworth said, I was expecting to see him sprint up to stand in Beppe's face, flip him the bird with both barrels and scream obscenities while spittle flew from his mouth to cover everyone within 15 yards.

What I actually saw: player runs to stand in full view of the bench and roars towards it with body language that says "look at what I can do". The man clearly wants to be on the pitch and fair play to him for that.

Considering the journalist who claimed shouting was coming from the Watford dressing room after the game was directly contradicted by Marks, who said it didn't happen to the best of his knowledge, I have to wonder if the media are trying to make a mountain from a molehill.

Yes he ran not walked. But the crux of my point still stands... being he was in the middle of the pitch a long way from the bench, not shouting abuse into Sanninos face as the frenzied mob on here would have you believe.

I just think we need a little perspective on this whole affair, because it is being massively blown out of proportion

    Me too.

After reading Sherlocks quote of Sannino talking about his management philosophy, I wonder if Sannino didnt deliberately engineer the situation to create the sort of 'anger' he always talks about. As a technique , its as old as the hills.

Wow this has escalated and is going off at tangents and varying levels of conspiracy theory's.

From reading this thread I'm not sure if he ran or if he walked. Was it shouting in the dressing room or was it arguing. Was it before the game or after the game. If it was in a different language, certain dialects can sound threatening when the words are actually not.

Sure I remembering thinking Lloyds celebration was a bit unusual, but that's all I thought and I then concentrated on watching the rest of the team celebrate. He certainly celebrated the second with the team. For all we know his celebration was a reaction to being excellently motivated. How or why I doubt we will ever know.

Driving back last night after the game, they were discussing Paul Scholes not having Wayne Rooneys mobile number and the stir it caused at the time the article was published.

    http://www1.skysports.com/football/...as-upset-a-lot-of-people-at-manchester-united

It caused claims and counter claims. I only know one footballer, an ex next door neighbour who now is on the books of a premiership club. I remember chatting with him one day over past clubs and managers, and as naive as it may sound I was quite shocked that the more and more we talked the more I realised that a football club is a place of work. It certainly helps if you get on with your manager and colleagues but at the end of the day it's about getting the job done.

So let's get backon track, even if only a little bit. Our owners are clearly showing more intent about getting back on track for mounting a serious promotion challenge. If there is more truth than speculation about any of this, I have little doubt they have a plan b. For me last night was the sort of results a team mounting a serious promotion challenge wins by grinding out a result when you are not at your best.

One final thought I have, is that there are few I'd rather have as Captain than Troy in the dressing room right now

Yeah, I'd like Dyer to be happy. He's a funny looking little man and he's well liked at Leicester, so I want the best for him. But if he scores goals every game, but does it angry, I will live with it.

That's fine, but I think Marks saying (or not saying) that there's player unrest, a loss of respect for Sannino & that "the team" wouldn't have a problem with Dyers celebration indicates quite a concerning problem.

Read on twitter that Jonathan Bond got himself injured in the end of season Leeds game, on purpose, so that he could undermine the yet to be appointed Sannino.

When I say read, Jon Marks didn't say it explicitly, but if you look between the lines it's clear what he's trying to say without the breaking the censorship that Gianluca Nani has impossed on all local media.

It is true that you can learn more from what people don't say than you can from what they do. But it is also true that that can lead to reading between the lines and creating some quite bizarre thoughts if you read too deep into things

Those next manager sacking odds are very price sensitive to any bet placed on them because the bookies dont allow any big bets on them as ultimately they have nt a clue who is gonna be sacked and so cant set a proper market. They known as fun bets, like next to be evicted from the Jungle or whatever.

Consequently just a couple of extra people betting on Sannino tonight would have caused the bookies to lower the odds in fear that someone has inside knowledge.

There could be something in it , but not likely.

In the unlikely scenario of Sannino being sacked I would imagine Guidolin will be flown in. Cant say Id be unhappy with that.

A win against LUFC on Saturday and we could be in one of the auto promotion places. To sack a manager in that position would put a lot of pressure on his successor......
