What would everyone's thoughts be on Heurelho Gomes coming to the club? He's out of contract at Spurs. He's 33 so not over the hill, prone to a gaffe but would you be happy to see him come in?
It's a no from me. He may have been good at one point but I don't really see him quite having the impact that Almunia had here. I would like the see Watford sign Craig Gordon though because I reckon he could still be class despite his injuries

As much as the man is an unbearable ******, Holly68 is, somehow, very much itk. A ****ing ****. But itk. Gomes is an outstanding signing for the Championship I think. Looking forward to more equally shrewd signings.

I don't agree. He deletes tweets as quickly as posting them. I think he's a gambler as let's be honest, if Gomes hadn't signed, no one would have cared. You won't see Holly68 say 'we are signing Harry Maguire' for example as people would care about that.

The day I started this thread he was at the ground. It looks like it isn't as simple as Stech first choice, Gomes back up.
I've never personally actually seen him get anything wrong tbh, he deletes all of his tweets. And nobody, absolutely nobody had mentioned Gomes. Maybe he does get things wrong, but the sarcastic cries on here were misguided. There is something in what he says when it comes to transfer info.
I hope he is not as injury prone as Almunia was in the last 12 months. Think another keeper will be needed as cover as Bond must now go out on a year loan. It will do him no good at all to sit on the bench for another year.
All in all I think he might just work out to be a good signing, and I was reading somewhere he has been a club captain, so I wonder if he might step into Almunia's shoes as captain as well?
