I don't get why Danny Webber would be a good signing. His record at Pompey was 3 goals in 32 games and prior to that he averages 1 in 5. For me if we replace our top goal scorer with someone who will probably manage 5 goals in the season it will guarantee relegation

 

I always thought Lee Novak would be a good signing.

 

That's because he's always been the "other" striker where as here he would be moer the main man with Sordell and Deeney as his support.

Personally always thought he was a good striker. Very unlucky, don't think he ever got over the Jimmy Davies tragedy while he was here.

 

Yeah it is he was it st catherines ? And he was better than most people so i thought he was skillful, true his mum was fit as!!

how can a striker be called a striker with 29 goals in 6 seasons??? thats rubbish. if i was that rubbish at my job i'd be sacked!

i wonder who the worst striker is that makes a living being that bad?

 

What about Jordan Rhodes? I know the club has said he is not for sale, but every club has a price.

 

and there's a good chance we can't afford that price.

 

He wants to be "surrounded" by people good enough to get him to the Prem. Sounds as if the world revolves around him.

He did a good job for Watford as a quick, reasonably skilful but totally brainless striker. With all his injuries he has probably lost his pace, but I doubt if he has grown a brain.

Really? he could be good but hes been scoring goals in league 2 for years and has been looked at by many clubs, none so far have decided to buy him though

This Kovacevic guy is a centre back and is 6'4" tall, he has also only recently recovered from a C ligament knee injury, not too sure about the sound of that?

Also, why would we want someone like him, unless we were maybe losing Tiny I sincerely hope not!!!

 

We would want someone like him because as a squad we lack height, physical presence and far to often last season couldnt defend even if our lives depended on it.

I dont know anything about the guy tbh, but he could be seen as a long term replacement for tiny - who cant have many seasons left as a player.

Worst case scenario, we are signing him because we cant find a left back and so doyley has to move there with marriappa shifting out to the right?

This all sounds very good, but Chris Basham - is that realistic? He was signed by Blackpool for £1.2m from Bolton less than a year ago so I would imagine his wages are around £10k per week?

Le Fondre for £500k+ would be a gamble. He's got a fantastic scoring record, but two divisions is a big leap.

I'd take le Fondre any day of the week. He'd be a good addition.

I doubt Marv would go join Malky when Malky dropped him for half the season.

Probably the only decent thing he has done for us. If he had played him all season he would probably be off to Cardiff too.
