It will always come back to the question of why 2 very successful business men would invest in a company that was loosing £400k a year, at a time when there was negotiations about key workers accommodation being built next door to a proposed heath campus.

and

Why they would then out a chairman and take over a company that had just lost £5million in the previous year and was projected to lose £8m over the next year.

The answer could be ?

Na - I went to Boring Wood v Watford pre season friendly once and gotted lost - Saw a sign for Walford, but being a blind scum canuting winker thougt it said 'Watford' so followed the sign - realised I was completely lost in a place called Walford so had a pint in the Vic, the only boozer in the place - shytehole boozer I must say, reminds me of the now closed Red Lion. After the pint went to some dodgy chippy and had a row woth the owner so threw the rock hard sauage in batter at his shop windw and smashed that in. On the way to the bus stop around by the square i s.hagged 6 *******s and missed the last bus so dossed the night under some arches and went for breakie in a dodgy cafe, where much to my amusemnt was the chip shop owner doing the breakies.

Some dog was following me after breakie as I was really trying well hard to find a station to catch the train when some old dear starts preaching jesus stuff in my ear whislt a lookalike of said old dear, maybe her son was trying to pick pocket my last £5 note from my jeans back pocket.

Decided to get a cab in the end and went to some shabby hut where some fat old blonde tart was arguing with someone on the telephone so thought bollix to this so decided I would go back to the square and sha.g some more of the local tarts - very accomodating they is in Walford.

Funny thing is, i can't remeber how I got home.

A new brandspanking top of the line 20k seater nearer the Mwhatever with easy access, good parking and facilities that would welcome punters.

I know the Vic is our home but we all move homes from time to time.

 

There's a difference between moving home and being evicted and left couch surfing and homeless.

I'd be utterly fascinated to know the in-depth detail of peoples thoughts on the consquences regarding fan reaction, Football League reaction, projected costings, new stadium financing (if the board even bother to continue WFC, ho hum), long term projected profits, housing market projections, working class urban regeneration, social mobility, etc, etc...

You know, the kind of stuff that gives context to having your ground (alledgedly) knocked down...

Please enlighten me.

You've missed the point. The point Spuddy had nothing to do with me and my two visits to the Vic. I know I'm a shyte fan.

The point I was trying to make was that as a business decision, following OMRs valuation, maybe cashing in on the Vic and building a new modern stadium elsewhere isn't a bad one.

I know it is an unpopular thought (hence the opening line about going out on a limb) but business-wise it may be a good move.

 

I was actually gonna add in there "And don't mention Highbury"...

I take it noone's thought any further than the current speculation then. Oh well.... I tried....
