More Rumours from the Imaginarium of doctor parnassus Young margate reserve centre back joseph beech has been scouted by gillingham and charlton. Beckford has become a watford target, and a deal which could see ellington go to leeds is possible, in january.
Now that would be sensational I have always said that Ellingthump would be brilliant in the lower leagues. He seems to lose his inhibitions and play like we all know he can, when playing at the lower levels. His confidence just isn't there when he plays at championship level and above.
READING – rumours about at the club that we are trying to unload the inconsistent Jobi McAnuff. On his day he a reasonable player, but far too often he goes missing. What a surprise. :]]
And what were Reading fans saying about being such a great signing when they first got hold of him! :forehead:
Watford are going to sell the following players, in January, in the hope of avoiding administration (barring an investment by Sir Elton John): Scott Severin (Preston, £500k) Danny Graham (Leeds, £500k) John Eustace (MK Dons, £300k) Jon Harley (Cardiff, £500k) Adrian Mariappa (Wigan, £1m) Nathan Ellington (Reading, £750k) Don Cowie (Hibernian, £500k) Will Hoskins (Nott'm Forest £500k) Matt Sadler (Coventry City £500k) Never going to happen but I thought I'd post it anyway.
Derby news... Nigel Clough will attempt to sign John-Joe O'Toole, Jamie Mackie, Jason Koumas, Fabian Delph on loan.
West Ham to sign Wes brown for 7mill lloyd doyley and don cowie also will move for about 12mill. Chelsea rumours Ross turnbull will be sadly lost to real madrid for 6mill Chelsea will sign scott loach as a replacemnt for 5 mill Sandro to tottenham FACT! Birmingham to sign Dzeko, Higain, huntelaar Lee bowyer will be sold to fund these moves to United or Man city :]]
Someone posted this earlier. Watford fans can breathe (almost) a sigh of relief as your greatest fan, Sir Elton John, has agreed in principle to fund the club until next summer. However, the deal depends upon Graham Taylor staying on at the club and Graham Simpson selling his stake in the club. Sir Elton does not want to rejoin the board, but he does want the club passed on to, and I quote 'somebody with an IQ of more than 1' who is prepared to invest in the club and at least part–fund a move to a new stadium in five years, as Vicarage Road is getting old and a new stadium near the M1 will benefit both Watford FC and Saracens RFC long term.
The Hornets are set to start offloading players whatever the outcome over the next few days. Expect lots of departures including these: Lee Hodson to Millwall, Lloyd Doyley to Wigan, Danny Graham to Blackpool and Will Hoskins to Middlesborough. Plus loan players are all expected to return to their parent clubs and not return when their period is up. This is only the start of a mass clearout at the club.
Another rumour... Heard that Sir Elton John is to meet Jimmy Russo face to face, in order to thrash out a deal to safeguard Watford FC's future. However, this deal won't stop a mass exodus of players in January, nor the deduction of 10 points, and Elton is keen to ensure that the club is passed onto somebody with the willpower to take the club forward.

Thankfully, we're going to be ok now (well until the next crisis!) As a Watford fan, just want to say a big thanks to Lord Ashcroft and Jimmy Russo for saving us from going into administration. Jack Midson to Watford in January too. Interesting that one, looks like a type of player we would sign seen as he's from the lower leagues (Oxford United) and is a striker. http://www.oufc.co.uk/page/ProfilesDetail/0,,10342~23047,00.html
A deal has been agreed to let Gary Caldwell join Burnley for 400,000 with Steven Thompson going in the other direction as part of the deal. Celtic will also land Watford's Danny Graham for 1M from cash strapped Watford.
Watfords Scott Loach to Tottenham Hotspur in this Januarys Transfer window. Fee expected to be around £4 million. The money is needed to keep Watfords £1 milliom pound a month bill under control Scottish News. Watford Boss and former Celtic man Malky Mackay is in talks with a number of SPL players out of contract in the Summer.. Falkirks team captain and full Int Darren Barr along with midfield dynamo and B Int Scott Arfield. Aberdeens former U21 defender and dead ball specialist Charlie Mulgrew. St Mirrens midfield duo of Wales Int Andy Dorman and U21 Stephen McGinn. It would be a crying shame if we lost these players to the Championship.. Forget England boys and Join us at Killie...
All transfers out of BOLTON are now on hold, which means the 3 players due to go out on LOAN...wont be happening and BLACKPOOL, NEWCASTLE & WATFORD have missed out on some GREAT players. Can't be that great if they're playing for Bolton. If it is/was true my guess would be that it could have been Shittu.
latest Who - was he the one in Bullit? No - Argyle forward with 5 in 41. Was on trial at Hearts in late December. So that's: Dorman (mid) McGinn (mid/forward) Kyle (Tall non scoring Striker) Miller (Tall 1 in 4 Striker) Mulgrew (Tall CD) Barr (RB,CD not tall) Arfield (box-to-box midfielder, a defensive midfield shield or a offensive role off a main striker) Bamba (Tall CD) So a CD, a attacking/box2box mid and a striker. That'll do me.
Nak, do you know whether Mulgrew is adopted? or plays cricket in the summer? or has a dog? or dresses on the left?
"He is primarily a left back, but he can also operate as a left winger" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charlie_Mulgrew "Davide Grassi believes his left back rival Charlie Mulgrew is good enough to play abroad. He is good enough to play in midfield and I can play behind him.” http://www.pressandjournal.co.uk/Article.aspx/1538235?UserKey=
Could be true that he's on trial with us/we're interested in him. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11688_5837655,00.html
