IN: Reading Football Club will this week complete the double signing of Chelsea's Jack Cork on a season long loan, and also Tamas Priskin will join Brendan Rodgers at Reading on a 4 year deal for £1,000,000 rising to a possible £1,400,000 if Royals earn promotion within that contract length.

Out: Reading have also agreed a £2m fee to sell defender Andre Bikey, who will join French club Marseille in the next 14 days.

    :dismay:

    &

Watford to sign Gary Hooper from Scunthorpe United for £300k, and Nathan Delfouneso on season–long loan from Villa. (Second time Delfouneso has been mentioned to join us, could have some truth in it?)

    hi again
here in malta with the blades, along with 300 hardy souls, watched training this morning, interestingly couple of young players are with squad, nathan foster a powerful forward and a young right back who has been running rings round some of the established players, he got a tasty little intro from a certain senior professional who didn't like the keepy uppy tricks!
    onto transfer news
i can confirm tommy smith will not be joining but the reasons are footballing not family or financial as has been reported.
jj o'toole arrives here tomorrow (friday) having signed a 3 year deal

evans and beckford deals are still on,
the suspension of p kenny moves the exciting young keeper bigley a step closer the first team

Smith has seemingly rejected Sheffield United as well.

That footie-rumours post sounds pretty accurate actually.

Strong rumours emerging from Watford that Jobi McAnuff has faked illness in order not to play in the friendly against Borehamwood. Apparently, his agent has messed up his contract extension & he only has 10 months left to go on his existing deal, which Watford bitterly regret giving him in the first place! Only problem no one is interested in purchasing him, due to his lazy & arrogant demeanour. Might have to take up Charlton's loan offer of last season after all!

Could be true and if thats the case, hopefully Rodgers gives up on Smith and goes after McAnuff.

    Latest instalment:
Of course this is all complete nonsense as we don't need strikers nor midfielders - unless we're selling some as well.

I can't believe that people are posting from this site still, despite it being proven to be random. Sure, they get 1 in 100 correct, but then if you throw enough sh1t at the wall, some of it will stick.

Just because someone posts some rubbish somewhere else on t'interweb, doesn't mean that they have not just made it up.

Watford have been speaking to Cheltenham's 24 year old defender, Dave Bird, after the two clubs agreed a fee, expected to be around 200k. Bird arrived at Vicarage Road yesterday (Tuesday) to finalise personal terms and an announcement is expected before the end of the week.

Let me refer you to the first post of the fred. The point of this one is to 1) gather all the footie rumours crap into one thread in stead of a thread per ridiculous rumour and 2)have a chance to look back once the window shuts to see what rumours there were and how few had any hold in reality.

    PS. Who's Dave Bird - what's your sauce? ;)

And if you don't understand why we bother - don't read the fred Moog - it's not like the title hints at it being anything more than it is.

I can't reveal my source on that one, but lets just say that this rumour is a total fabrication.

I did read the start of this thread some time ago, but just clicked into the most recent posts.

It looked to me like people were discussing the rumours as though they were weighing up the credibility of them. If they were, stop it. If they weren't, apologies and whoosh for me.

I work within the local press in Watford and we were a Vicarage Road yesterday to meet Rangers midfielder Charlie Adam after he had agreed personal terms with the club after we had a bid accepted to be believed at 500k from Glasgow Rangers.

This will officially be announced today

The local press have been asked to attend Vicarage Road this afternoon for the unveiling of Charlie Adam as well as another player a striker from Leicester City who played on loan in the championship last season, so DJ Campbell will also be unveiled, we won't know until this afternoon if it is a loan or permanent move for DJ

    and

jobi macanuff has been seen leaving the ipswich training ground

Plessis and N'Gog (Liverpool) are loan targets for several Championship Clubs including Sheffield Wednesday, Leicester City, Cardiff City and Watford.

Very much doubt N'Gog would be available for loan as he's in and around the first team for Liverpool due to them not having many strikers. And all I know about Plessis is that he plays in midfield.

I was at the Vue Cinema in Garston on Monday evening and O'Toole and Liam Henderson were there watching 'The Hangover', so unless he signed his contract down here that's possibly unlikely.

If he did sign on he can probably use some of that extra cash to buy a new motor he went racing off in a tiny black VW Lupo, not the sort you'd expect a footballer to be driving!!!

Watford's Jobi McAnuff missed last weekends friendly against Borehamwood, alledgedly due to ill health. However, he spent yesterday with his agent Tony Finnigan thrashing out a deal to join Roy Keane at Ipswich. Apparently Watford are thrilled as they wanted to unload him due to his absurdly high wages, arrogance & laziness.

Could have some truth in it? Was linked to Ipswich by someone else yesterday aswell.

It could be true. It's very strange how he's still ill, even a week later. We'll just have to see if the club stick by their word, and see if he travels to Spain with the rest of the squad.

Watford are looking to pull off 2 amazing swap deals this week and both are looking quite positive.

    O'Toole for Billy Sharp
Ellington + Eustace + £1m for Beckford – Watford have worked out that they might as well find the million and give it to Leeds as have to give it to West Brom as an additional add on to the Ellington fee. Expect both to happen by next tuesday – only stumbling block is that Leeds want Hoskins or an extra 500k as well which looks a bit greedy to me.
Ipswich want McAnuff and Priskin but take a look at their squad – who would you want and they haven't got £3m cash which is the value Watford would expect.
Smith will sign for the turncoat traitor on Friday for £1.5m and De Lucas will be given a final trial on Saturday v Parma

Yeah, but don't forget this was probably posted yesterday but published today on the football-rumours website. So the person wouldn't of known that then. Does look like aload of bull, but i'm not going to say this is never going to happen because some of it looks like it could.

For example, Smith moving to Reading for 1.5M might happen (Maybe not today though as the rumour states). Rodgers has said that he should be able to bring in a couple of players by tomorrow or early next week and Smith could be one of them. Also Billy Sharp has been put up for transfer and i'm pretty sure Sheffield United are still interested in O'Toole so that one could happen? Wouldn't mind it actually.

Billy Sharp is awful. Seriously. O'*** can bugger off for cash, not a shyte striker who would barely make the bench at best.

We aren't getting Beckford. The 'deal' looks complete tripe - two shyte players and £1m we don't have in exchange for a player that wouldn't come to us?

Smith has been signing for Reading the next day for about a month now it seems.

We won't let Priskin go for £1m, and if Ipshyte are gunning for the Premiershyte and buy Muff to get them there then Roy Keane is an even bigger loser than I thought he was. For one thing Muff isn't Irish, so thats obviously untrue.

Shut up football rumours, you are boring me.

    More 'rumours' about McAnuff.

    *** WATFORD ***

Watford's Jobi McAnuff has faked illness yet again & won't be playing in the friendly against Parma. Its been heard that Watford are fed up with his arrogant attitude & absurd demands from his agent Tony Finnigan. Reading want him to replace Hunt, if he departs, but as they stole Watford's manager they have been quoted £1.2 million, despite only wanting to pay £800,000. Quite frankly, if I were Reading I would avoid this player, who tends to be lazy & disliked by fellows pro's. Also his wage demands are ludicrous, thought to be in the region of £10k – £14k per week, when at best he should receive £5k per week & only for a couple of seasons, when he will be approaching 30 years of age & on the decline big time.
