We usually play it at the end of the last home game of the season and I think it's generally just a good sounding song that obviously fits the club.

Not saying EJ doesn't, but I'd think something that suits the club in a visual manner would be a better idea.

 

There have been about 321 of these threads and they all say the same things.

Yellow By yawnmongers - are you serious? High pitched, nasal whining dirge. Can you really see 10,000 football fans making that sound inspiring?

Hi Ho Silver Lining - The best song ever recorded, but also used by Aston Villa.

 

Not sure whether 'Yellow' or 'Your song' would work.

Don't think 'Pearl Jam- Black, Red, Yellow' would be any good either, but well named

 

Over the years, there have been loads of threads on here and elsewhere about changing the song, but we've never found anything to replace Z Cars (although Chariots of Fire seemed to disappear a few years ago).

Ultimately if TYO want a new song then they need to try a few out at games to see what catches on and not put polls on web-sites asking everyone's opinion.

wolverhampton use this, i think we neeed an equivelant, rest of song goes on people can mumble the words if they want, but everyone gets involved for the chorus. surely thats far more realistic than singing a whole song together which is never gonna happen

I suggested 'Gold' by Spandau Ballet a few years back, upbeat tempo and has the singalongability.

Also, Tony Hadley's not busy at the moment so get him to start it off at the first home game next season.

Don't be ridiculous. From one of the worlds greatest blues guitarists, a novelty song. How about My Ding-A-Ling by Chuck Berry? Or the Laughing Gnome by David Bowie?

Would much rather an Elton song that means something to Watford, than a soppy yawnmongers song that could just as easily be sung at Norwich, or, erm, Burton.

Think Your Song would be brilliant.

 

Elton recorded a version of Yellow River (probably for one of those 'Top of the Pops' cover compliations - remember them). Never liked it but it is as leastc catchy and up-beat.
