Yes not bad really for us this coming season. A rare home game to start a Premier League season as well, first time since Wimbledon in 1999. Utd away on the last day will be a tricky one, especially if we need to get something from it. Let's hope we've secured our Champions League spot by then though.

Happy with the fixtures. Christmas and Easter periods consist mainly of teams I expect to be in and around us. Home match on Boxing Day. No occasions where we play top 6 teams more than twice in a row.

Obviously with cup fixtures causing matches to be reschedulled there's chance for this to change, but a nice looking fixture list initially

    Thats OK

There are only times when we play the top teams back to back, but then they are followed with a clusters of games where we can pick up points.

A good chance to keep some momentum going

Nice set of opening fixtures, don't play Brighton till a bit later but still quite early. Liverpool home is a tough start, but Hull beat Lesta opening day which was a bit of a shock, so we have a good chance. Muff away is a great away day, it's going to be score draw, you just know it.

But on the otherhand a kind run at home at the end of the season.

Anyway its Watford - we'd probably beat Arsenal again and lose at home to Burnley.

Ear placement below antlers = deer, above = moose

Carabao are a Thai energy drinks company. You know the one thats sponsors Chelsea's training kit.. and Reading's shirt sponsor.

Well now they sponsor the League cup and the 1st round draw will be streamed live from Bangkok on Sky & Facebook on Friday. I kid you not!

Err. I think we are at home to Manure on Tuesday 28th November and away to Palarse on Tuesday 12th December. We are away to Stoke on Wednesday 31st January.

I must say I have spent longer pondering this antler/ear fact than I have our fixtures.

In times of anxiety in the coming season I shall return to this picture for solace.

If anyone has the diary link thingy to import the fixtures into outlook can they post it please?

    Cheers.

  19. Oh yeah. I was looking for Tuesdays and included the Boxing Day.. Britannia is cold enough on a September Saturday afternoon, f knows on a Wednesday night in January. Will our Carlos Kickaballs hack it?

Two winnable games before the transfer window closes. Hope the club gets most of the business done early so we can make use of the players.

The fixtures are definitely kinder to us this season than last. Loving the look of our December games, 6 winnable games during the busy season. Obviously they will change depending on Cup runs but it is looking good for now.

Liverpool at home will be good because I believe they will be playing their CL play-off game on 15th August. That will most likely be an away game for them because they rank so high in the club co-efficiency so their 2nd leg game will be at home. I could be wrong so take this with a pinch of salt but I believe this is the case. Happy to be corrected though.

Huddersfield will struggle so final 4 games may be irrelevant.

Managed to do it on the PL app, when they released last year and it's automatically updated them this year too.

Well I forecast the home start and managed to get two,of the first three opposition teams correct, not bad guessing!

Not wanting to confuse matters :) But the creature on our badge appears to be a deer/moose hybrid. The bulbous nose suggests moose.. as do the hand like rear antlers (deer's are more like branches of a tree) But then the two rows of antlers and, as youve said, ear placement suggests deer.

    Perhaps it's a Doose? or a Meer?

Jesus, how are we meant to finish work at 6pm, get to Croydon for 7:45pm and fit in a rendezvous at Oliver Grove in between?

Sky Sports not caring about fans AGAIN.

According to some I used to speak to on the offical Watford Forum before it closed down, the animal on our club badge is a Hert.

Not sure if there is any truth in this. Hert = Hertfordshire.

Wouldn't surprise me if our opening game is moved for TV. Sky and BT love the scousers, and I'm sure they'll try and promote a faux rivalry between Silva and plop because Marco had the cheek to deservedly beat them last season.

BT tend to put us on TV earlier to get the obligation out of the way, Sky less so as they know they'll manage it with games featuring us and top 6 later on, so at a punt:

    Liverpool at home
    City at home
    West Brom at home
    Arsenal at home
    Chelsea away
    United at home
Huddersfield away (For one of them "Super Sunday's" of 0-0 draws)

Screams out obligation up until Christmas

It's a hart. "e" used to be pronounced as "a" is now, up to a couple of hundred years ago - hence Hertfordshire, Berkshire, Derby etc.

Anthony Joshua giving us some recognition on Sky Sports News today.... He'd be a decent pundit and he ain't even a fookin footballer!

  35. Stevohorn

As someone else mentioned it's actually a "Hart" As seen on the county shield of Herts.
Hart beeing an old name for a deer or stag.. or in modern times it's the name of goalkeeper easily beaten by free kicks.

PS It doesnt look 100% deer on our badge nonetheless.
