And all this talk about the new development shocking the football world due to it being nothing anybody has seen before!! What was that...council flats behind the stand...ye...right...

I certainly hope not as Aidy is a legend and I believe(wish) he will stay on for a long time

So he has a place in history

It would be sad for a guy of Aidy's age to have his best years behind him. Unfortunately there is very little in his future at the moment to suggest he is worth backing. He would be gone by now if it weren't for the size of his payout and the state of our finances. However if the sharks that pass for WFC's lawyers view his leaking of information to Elton as gross misconduct he could possibly be sacked with no pay off. Just a very long legal challenge.

EJ does speak to AB, has doen since AB started. With AB's ability with words and EJ's understanding of money matters - i can imagine the following phone call:

EJ: "Hi Aidy baby, how's it hanging?"
AB: "hi woofter, hanging well but damn injuries have left the squad bare".
EJ interupts " I'll be over to see them very soon if thats the case -aren't there any old kits hangings around from my days or were they sold off as memorabilaia?"
AB continuews "Wish we didn't have had to sell poo2, and Hendo". AB then coughs " you gonna do a concert for the bank manager EJ, I need some funds to buy more players "
EJ: " What do ya mean Aidy baby, go out and spend the profits on players"
AB: " Not allowed to EJ, been told to cut the wage bill for next season - prudence reasons".
EJ: " hey Aidy baby, do you want a new boss?"
AB: " Well my pocket money has gone down by the board, so yeah, we need dosh to spend, what can you do about it, woofter?"
EJ: "i'll get on the blower straight away, i like the blower, i'll sort it out, bye Aidy Baby"
AB: " Cheers Woofter, when you actually gonna come and support your team " Whispers " glory hunting skum canut"
EJ: "I heard that you northern winker"
AB " Shall i sing a song for you, shall i sing a song for you"
both parties hang up.

5 minutes later
EJ " hiya Flecky baby, wanna do a story?"
AF " Hi woofter, what sort of story"
EJ " A 'Board out' strory"
AF " I'll give you a BJ next time your in town, but i won't be able to write the article".
EJ " look forward to it - you ornssssssssssssssssss"
