What an appalling article. It's almost imsinuating that it was a frivolous appeal and that we were lucky to escape without an extended ban.

It's frankly embarrassing thst anyone would uphold and defend that decision

Kabasele did play up front as a youngster but then again Gomes was a striker up until U18.

Thank you for confirming that Kabasele has indeed played up front in the past and therefore validating what I suggested.

I am just suggesting it could be worth a try while Deeney is unavailable, it might not work, but there again it might turn out to be a brilliant move, who knows unless we try it, but probably on the training field first.

Its only ******* huddersfield. We can play with 10 (ie. Success starts) and still win

I like the idea of Cassidy perhaps getting 10/15 mins today

That doesn't validate what you were suggesting. Kabasele was converted back to a CB as his goalscoring record was horrendous and he couldn't get a game as a striker. That was in the Belgian 2nd division - why do you think he's suddenly got the ability to play as a striker in the PL? He's not particularly good on the ball so wouldn't be able to replicate what Deeney does, he's got decent pace for a CB (but not so much for a striker), he doesn't look fantastic in the air most of the time and I highly doubt he's got a clinical finish on him. There's literally no reason to play Kabasele there.

You really need to take some time off the Internet. This forum isn't Facebook. It's not for farting out whatever you think of. Be selective, think about what you are going to say before you say it. It's not a status update. You don't need to use emojis.

Either take a break or get some help, please.

I do not see him on the training field any more than you do, so neither of us really knows, I am just suggesting it might be an option. Only the management and coaching staff would be able to make that assessment, which I clearly state in one of my earlier posts about this.

I'd stick Bachman up there. None of us have seen him on the training pitch and we won't ever know for certain whether or not he's got what it takes to be a premier league and world class number 9, unless we give him 3 games in the role.

Who knows how it could turn out, after all, we ain't seen nothing yet.

It will be success. I think we perhaps judge him too harshly on here sometimes. Yes he is currently not as good as our other options, but if he trains hard he presumably warrants the chance to start. Here's hoping he bags a brace and shuts up a few of his critics.

What's all this chat about Gray not being able to play upfront?! It's Troy that's the one who's incapable of operating as a lone centre forward; Gray is possibly our best, and certainly at least most practiced, at doing so. Yes, his comedic touch negates the eventual impact quite often, but as a player in that role, he is fully capable. It was, after all, with him at the head of a 4-2-3-1 that had us playing probably the best football we've seen since we came up at the beginning of last season before Slither unmasked himself and it all went to pot.

I hope he does well but this 3 game stretch feels like last chance saloon. If he is displaced by Peneranda by the Wolves game he is done. Has to take this chance of starts.

I don't know, I reckon it would throw the Huddersfield's gameplan off. We should play Deeney at right-back for the Cup Final too. Heard he played there before when he was younger!!!!!

In the midst of a YouTube rabbit-hole last night, I came across the highlights of David James playing up front for City. 15 minutes of glorious chaos. I can only imagine how magnificent it would be to see 90 minutes of it.

I see that you are. Have you seen Kabesele play football? I certainly don’t need to see him in training to know that this is a bonkers idea.

Which reminds me that Bazely and Kennedy both transitioned from full back to hat trick scoring strikers at one point.

Kiko, Janmaat or Masina could all play up front

Bazeley of course was a forward (winger) before he became a full back.
