Can't edit my previous post but here's a pic of our defensive system this season - we have 2 zonal markers, one front post and one central (in this case Deeney) - however the central zonal marker isn't actually that central and is a few paces forward of dead center, against Cardiff I think those extra few paces could be a dangerous game-plan.
Oh who the hell knows any more? Hopefully it'll be a case of our home form carrying the day, but I have a nagging feeling that our luck will run out, and we'll get the inevitable beating we deserve. Heart says 1-0 win. Head says 1-0 loss. The possibilities really are endless in this rollercoaster of a season!
We deserve naught but the fruits of toil, blood and sweat. We will not go afield with thoughts of glory 'ready won, but stare adversity full in the face and smile the rictus grin of those who know that they are feared. Let loose the devil's hornet, the swarm of terror with the hum of death. You keep your dragons safe in their pen to live another day in fairer climes. Then burn a cherry to its pit and sing the lament for mad hatters' balls. The morrow is not your day. Toil and sweat and blood will bring those bluebird tears. The M4 wails will be remembered long by those that follow broken men back to their Severn sanctuary. Watford 0 Cardiff 2
Be classic Watford to lose our very good home run just as fans return. Like the time we lost to Cardiff in the promotion season when GT was the special guest to open the stand named after him.
Is it time to give Sarr a rest, but just put him on the bench just in case he's needed? If Sema is back he could go in as LB and maybe Mr Versatile Kiko could play Right wing with Nkakia at RB? Foster Ngakia Cathcart (if fit) Kabaselle Sema Capoue Garner Hughes Kiko Deeney Pedro
I would very much hope Ivic and his coaches have noticed this and have prepped the players. However nothing would surprise me in sport, nothing. Good luck boys. COYH!
We have to win this. Been giving it large to my mates in Cardiff over the rugby recently and they're spoiling for some revenge.
Given that we supposedly have the best squad in the division, a lot of people need to play out of position in order to give our one right winger a rest!
For the first time in a long while I am excited for the game knowing I can watch it from the stands. 3-0 Cardiff.
If I were Station Officer Steele, I’d have ‘Elvis’ Cridlington on the job. The remake of Fireman Sam is a travesty, among other missteps, they’ve retired Bella Lasagna for fear of being accused of cultural misappropriation. Still a better watch than our matches, though.
Hate all this 30 degrees and sunshine and having to put sun cream on to wander out for a calamari and hummus lunch. The ice melts too quickly in the drinks too.
0-0 but 70% possession. Some great sideways passes . Disappointed to see the muff score when connecting to wifi in the hotel
Not surprising as flares have never akchewally ever been out of fashion in South Wales. Same goes for North Wales.
Cathcart, Femenía, Chalobah & Quina OUT Troost-Ekong, Wilmot, Cleverley & Sema IN Back to 3 at the back?
Would assume 343 from that line up but the order they are listed on the team sheet implies Wilmot at left back. Probably shouldn't read too much into it.
