1 shot on target from 13..

That is pretty appalling considering the talent we are supposed to have up front - but it's not showing.

A proper winger that absolutely refuses to run his man.

He's become the most negative, tentative winger I've ever seen.

This is what I feared if we couldn't shift some of the old warhorses like Deeney, that they would linger about, and the manager would feell obliged to play them. Is there anyone who wouldn't prefer to start a player like Perica ahead of him at the moment?

    Same.

Whilst my daughter loves football and can't wait to go back to the Vic, my son says he's going off it. Sitting in the freezing cold watching another insipid pile of shyte like that on Tuesday night will surely kill off any remaining interes he has in the game.

Good clubs are more than the sum of their parts. Last season and this season we are clearly less than the sum of our parts.

I’m not at all keen on our manager but not convinced that anyone else could come in and get a tune out of our under achievers.

No way should Deeney have been on the pitch for 90mins today. His main movement came from shrugging his shoulders at fellow players.

That was a joyless uninspiring, take 6 touches and turn around and to pass back to Kabasele type of performance.

Quina and Hughes were decent I thought, actually taking the ball forward at times. Garner is awful or wildly inexperienced or both.

VI post-match "“We need to work, need to find the reason, to improve the season as fast as possible because we have 2,3 days and we must be ready for the next one.”

“No one from us is happy. It’s not a good result... you can lose a game and be on the top of your game. In this moment I can only be satisfied with how we played in the second (half). We need to improve”

Glad he found something to be satisfied about in the second half, but I suspect he's in a minority of one with that view.

I'm surprised he felt there was such a big improvement in the second half. Sure, it was a slightly better performance, but it was still nowhere near good enough.

    Kiko our best player today.

I’ve an idea we’re playing a team of 6 foot cloggers let’s keep passing the ball sideways and backwards until the cloggers get their shape and then hump high useless inaccurate balls up top.

Don’t try and use our pace on the flanks as that might work

When Deeney came back to fitness, I was pleased to see he wasn't thrown straight in the side, wasn't Preston his first start this season? Played quite well then to be fair to him, but the two games since, it's almost like he knows whatever he does, he's back to being main man Troy again and is taking his foot off the gas. Perica has had one start in the league, scored, got injured and has since been reduced to brief cameo roles- surely it's worth giving him a go? I'm not saying he's amazing or anything, but he has a bit of mobility about him, and can actually kick a ball properly unlike Deeney and Gray

He comes out with the same old claptrap after every match.

He is laughably out of his depth.

He’s not been helped though with a recruitment team that think Perica, Garner, Sierralta, Murray, Troost-Ekong and Stevenson were the answers this summer. That we could do without a proper left-back.Or that we’d be anywhere good enough with the likes of Deeney, Gray, Chalobah etc near the first team.

We sold Suárez for a pittance, only to then score just 3 away goals from 8 matches. We sold Estupiñán only to then middle through certain matches without a left-footed player.

The whole set up is rotten to the core, and we are getting our comeuppance.

The forward line is not good enough to get us auto. Playoffs at best, unless we can do something in the window. We have don’t have a player that will get us 20 goals, last time we got promoted we had 3 players capable of scoring 20 +

Agree. He missed his chance today but he got in the right area in his 10 mins on the pitch. Deeney just ambled around arrogantly for 90. Hopefully his contract is up at the end of the season and we can get rid of this millstone round our necks.

Our dribbling fan base won't stand for that. He is still relentlessly arse licked by the vast majority of our fans despite his appalling performances, effort and weight and I'm sure they'll be pressing the club to offer him a new deal.

The team would be in better shape all round if Troy replaced Ivic as manager and didn’t have to waste a spot in the team anymore.

Absolutely loved being back at the Vic, you can't beat that feeling.

The performance was pathetic, from the first minute you could see that Cardiff were going down at the slightest touch to win free kicks in strategic areas and we feel into their trap time and again. Half the players don't care, you can see it in their performances half heartedly jogging back knowing they can get away with murder and still play week in week out.

Ivic ball is awful, just constantly recycling possession and hope we get a breakthrough. The attacking talent that we have is being wasted as the ball goes from side to side. Our most attacking inlet today was Ben Wilmot who I thought had a decent game.

    It's just not good enough.

You've hit the nail on the head. He's clearly such a mi5erable ba5tard and that approach just doesn't work any more. These wealthy young blokes can't be intimidated into performing well

*By far the worst performance of the season.
How many games have we played and seen the above statement?
I said Ivic had till Christmas to show us he can make the grade.
It is slowly beginning to look as if he is not going to be the man to see us into 2021.
The ponderous, blunt and lifelife performances we are seeing is simply not good enough. The Owner will be aware of the turgid performances.
Again, it was awful today. What fan wants to return to watch that pile of dog*hit.
A change is coming at Christmas not just Santa.

I appreciate that some of our fans don’t like him because of certain things his Bournemouth side were perceived to have done, but just think what a difference somebody like Eddie Howe could make with our squad.

The way things are going, we will soon have to change our name with the football league to Watford Nil...

  25. Well Ivic did say he wanted the team to play the same home and away...

We'd b better off paying Deeney the rest of his contract to leave now and starting afresh while we still have a chance of promotion.

Talk of Eddie Howe is fairly pointless, it would make absolutely zero sense for him to come here, he never ever would even if we went after him.

    With who though?

Gray is injured and rather spend time breaking the law.

Murray.. probably more chance of you and and me playing.

Perica - been sent off and booked (harshly)| plus injured in about 3 games.

Scored a good goal too but then even Deeney had a good game last week.

And well is Success still alive!?

Another example of someone not being replaced well.

Not a chance Howe would join us. 1) he’ll get a premier league job. 2) he’s smart enough to judge our ownership for what they are.

So what’s the solution? Sack the players? We can’t do that. And any squad turnover of large numbers will take years so we have to deal with the cards we have.

Let’s not forget, the last season we got promoted, we were worried there were bad eggs in the squad then but they were ruling the roost. Then we brought in a manger who sidelined them and roused the rest - Ivic hasn’t done that and has had plenty of time. If it’s truly the players that this boils down to, Ivic hasn’t dealt with it - and he’s in charge.

I’ve refrained from calling for his head but today was his last opportunity for me.
    He has to go.
