I think we’ll scrape home 2-1 tomorrow, and we will learn absolutely nothing about the team that we didn’t already know.

    Strikers are crap.
Pereyra doesn’t play well when it’s below 10 degrees.
    Deulofeu sulks when he’s ineffective.
Our CB’s have a mistake in them at all times.
    Chalobah still isn’t match fit.
We’ll go 1-0 down, the natives will get restless...Success will continue to win free-kicks by falling over despite being twice as strong as anyone else.
Holebas will dig us out with a fluke/deflected goal in the last 10 minutes.

    Excited doesn’t come close.

We all take the piss about our strikers but Wonder where the true problem lies, is it the strikers or is it the crossing in. We seem to get down to the side of the penalty area an awful lot particularly on Kiko’s side and we get a lot of balls crossed in, but not that many seem to come down in the penalty area, most either too long or too short

While I agree with most of that, part of it does come down to finishing. Look at that header Gray missed not so long ago. Okaka had a great chance to equalise at Newcastle, Deeney (when he does get into positions) has had the odd howler too.

I believe it’s a psychological problem, especially in the term of Gray. He seems to take an age sometimes and try the spectacular when drilling it across the keeper would suffice. Okaka just seems to have sat out so much already I cannot see him making a huge impact, but with Gray out still, he may get a chance to remedy that.

I don't recall kelso ever making any racist comments. He might have been a little Englander but the two are not the same.
Think a mod should intervene, this is how fake news grows on the internet.

I think with Gray it’s a footballing problem.

Well, someone swore last week he was an Albannach.

But, if true, why would he have supported the Orns?

Whichever, I think Kels edges Quina as Forum Man of the Week.

Quina’s time will come, esp he uses selects the chairleg as his weapon of choice.

Which illustrates my point entirely. An untruth can become established fact in the blink of an eye on the intraweb.

  13. Brilliant. Kelso achieves mythical status, just like Stanislaus Grumann in His Dark Materials. Or is he Keyser Sose?

    Fake forum news!

Although, without doubting your diagnosis for one moment, two aspects trouble me.

Why does he fly under the flag of ‘Kelso’ rather than ‘Rickie Mansworth’?

Also, would a neutral not judge his behaviour to be more Scottish than W Hertfordian?

In an unrelated question, does anyone own the publishing & film rights to the forum?

Whilst I won't presume to answer on his behalf, it could be similar reasons as to why I am 'Philippineorn' rather than 'Dulwichorn'. The monicker referring to the current residence rather than the POB. As for his behaviour, being neither Scottish nor Hertfordian I couldn't possibly comment.

    Agreed & good point.

    I don’t come the Rookery.

I’m from E Bucks & what happens across the border is a closed book to me.

My thoughts entirely. What happens across the border stays across the border. It's safest for all concerned.

I believe Kelso was of Watford area origin but moved to Glasgow for work. Stayed up there but still supported WFC. He disappeard for a while on the forum and on his reappearance was back living in Rickmansworth. How true any of this is is anyone's guess. I have heard people make up fake personas on the internet, the voracity of this is not for me to judge.

I know it is easy to overstate the importance of any given game but today seems to me incredibly important as a pointer to how our season will develop. A win and results going right for us elsewhere could see us rise to 7th or 8th and maintain a decent start and position. A defeat follows the pattern of recent years confirming that early season promise has faded and leaves us wondering when and if a full slump will follow. A draw would not be much better. There are games you need to win and this is one of them.
