Shame isn’t it we need a few seconds to think about the poor victims in Liverpool thoughts and prayers
Read my more genuine post before that And out of the every single person on this forum that wouldn't have predicted us to win, why did you chose to pick on that silly post of mine?
The two most confusing things from today: How did we manage to keep that up for 90 minutes, yet completely failed to keep our concentration up for more than 70 minutes against Villa, Brighton and Everton? Also, how did Deeney put that first chance so far wide, yet slotted his next one away so calmly?
Sarr... He's better the Richarlison isnt he? Genuinely think he could be off to liverpool next season.
That was amazing. Sarr is the key but a massive shout out to every player tonight, all played superb.
Liverpool have failed to score in a Premier League game for the first time since March 2019. Watford end their 36-game scoring streak.
GD's knee injury bad, per Pearson. That's him out for the season; probably not shocking to everyone who saw it.
Il do a proper summary later when I calm down. I was dreading tonight but so glad I went. Everyone was brilliant tonight, Delafoo was immense and I hope its not long term. Sarr what I add? Terrific. What a player. Fans brilliant, Deeney took his goal well and his fist pumps and high fives were justified. Had to get this in quick. WHAT A RESULT.
Also, aside from the obvious about Sarr. Massive shout out to Capoue for his performance. Played like a man possessed was running absolutely everywhere, what a hero.
Superb. We were phenomenal today and Liverpool were off-colour, but even then the nature of the victory was beyond anything I'd expected (and I did have a strong feeling we'd get something today). We saw a coming of age performance from Sarr today who looks absolutely world class. One of the best individual performances I've seen in a yellow shirt for a long time. I thought that the defence were also due a lot of credit today; Masina and Kabasele both put in 9/10 performances. We could have had 2 or 3 more today comfortably. It was so one-sided it was almost surreal. But as one of the posters above said, we have to channel this victory in the correct way and keep our focus for the remaining games. It's been a bad season, but this is probably the most important and impactful victory we've had since we returned to the Premier League... regardless of what happens come the end of the season, this memory will always remain. COYH!
Thats the stat you' ve got? That pales into nothing against 18 game winning streak ended and 44 game undefeated finished. I thought they might be ripe for a slow game but when i saw 19 wins in a row would be a record, i thought nah, liverpool will be up for it.
538's mathematical model now predicts us for a likely 40 points and 15th placed finish, projecting a clear 4 points above the third relegation spot, and calculates only a 17% chance we go down from here. We were about 37% before this game. A huge result. https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/soccer-predictions/premier-league/
Need to build a statue of Sarr straight away. As it’s the only way we will be seeing anything of him next season. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
