I'd suggest it's a bit more than a 'bounce'. Somehow, out of a hat, we have a quite excellent new head coach.

West Ham lost and Norwich only getting a point is also good news.

Hughes swapping places with Doucoure has transformed us.

We've gained pace where we had none, and close control where its badly been needed.

Really hope his injury isn't serious

Let's not kid ourselves.....Villa are total and utter garbage, but we've been losing to this sort of trash all season. Now it's different.

I'm loving watching this Watford team. Sure the mistakes are still there, but players are working hard to cover these off. How many interceptions were there today? There were loads and it just destroyed Villa's will. Players are now hunting in groups. This type of endeavour wins you points. It's not a magic wand, it's just bloody hard work and now we've got a head coach who will demand this from everyone.

It's a team....we've got our team back and I'm delighted to see it.

Deeney looked far sharper today, but did miss a very good chance just before he scored. Sarr is now showing why we spent so much on him. He's getting better and better. He's going to play a huge part for the rest of the season. I was so impressed with his tracking back and his tackling. He even went to right back after the appalling Hooper incorrectly sent Mariappa off, before Chalobah switched with him. I felt very sorry for Nat to be the one to get the tug, but it was a needs must situation.

Jon Moss was on VAR so it was no surprise to me that he tried to find things to disallow our goals or look at other tackles trying to find another red card Yet he didn't bother reviewing the clear penalty incident just before the penalty we did actually get. What an utter **** that bloke is. Today VAR was a complete farce.

We're on the up, I predicted we'd get the results we're now getting, but it HAS TO continue. We've now lost Mapps for a game, Cathcart and Hughes both went off with injuries, although Cathcart's looked like it was because of a cut on his knee.

Even against a rubbish opponent, to score twice more when down to 10 men and not even concede a chance to the opposition takes some doing.

Only now 3 points from....I say THREE points from safety.

Massive credit to Watford, massive win and I have a massive smile on my face tonight.

Shame really. Like Zaha he's talented but seems to feel it's necessary to be a complete **** at the same time!

First the team, everything else comes after. Well done boys. [IMG] let’s keep this momentum going.

I know he gets dog's abuse on here, as does Deeney, but he's a very good player. You wait....he'll come good and there will be a few putting the humble pie in the oven.

And the fact that he made a point of apologising to him on a 'needs must' basis on the touchline and again in the dressing room in front of the team afterwards confirms that even more. Absolute decisiveness and class too. It strikes me that Pearson does man management in spades. It isn't all about shouting at people.

Not bad at 'fan management' either.

Please don’t chant “V.A.R”. It makes fans seem like they actually like it.

    “**** VAR much better”

Even worse to chant “V.A.R” then 30secs later to chant “**** VAR”. It’s far too confusing for those of us that have had many beers

I thought Chalobah had a lively 15 minutes.

When Chalobah was good he was all about energy. He’s not an exceptionally skilled player, but he was a tremendous force, roaming the pitch like a big kid among toddlers. With confidence and fitness maybe he still has something to show us.

I saw him on the one he did on SSN, he seems to think if the ref had the opportunity to go over and look at the pitch side monitors, he would’ve overruled the penalty. He seemed to think the ref would’ve wanted to have overruled it, but didn’t because he wasn’t allowed.

I’m not sure why having given the penalty originally, he thinks that that the ref would want the opportunity to then overrule it?

  21. I don't think he gets dogs abuse. I think we just feel he never really recovered his old form from his injury and I think that's been fair in the main.

Most just say it's a shame he lost whatever the injury took away from him and we'd all be happy if he could find his old form.

One has to hope so. The improvement seems to be based on a simple application of work ethics and unity, so hopefully can be sustained. It will need to be. We've won 3 and probably need to find another 6 wins between now and the end of the season.

If we play like Man Utd and today for the vast majority of the remainder of the season, I think we will comfortably get those wins, but that's the big "if." We don't have the luxury of any more bad runs or lazy performances. Things will go against us when we play well, but fighting tooth and nail for the next 5 months will see us through, if we can maintain the standards.

We have the momentum, the likes of Bournemouth and West Ham don’t, The rest of the season is going to a hell of a ride!, hopefully we won’t need anything out of the last two games, Man City (Home) and Arsenal (away)!

That was the type of performance I have been dreaming of for a long time. There is nothing better than a passionate, gritty display at home where the players are scrapping for every single ball for 90 mins, especially when we’re attacking the rookery in the 2nd half.

90% of the posters on here can go and f**k themselves after the reaction to the point at Sheff Utd. Forget the first half of the season, the board are to blame for the reappointment of Flores. The season started against Man Utd and everything from now on is judged from then, not about our poor recruitment in the summer or how we should have beaten Burnley, Brighton, west ham etc.

sarr was immense today, when he has confidence he can take on anyone driving into the space. Deeney was incredible, leader, captain, legend. How many people said last week he won’t score in open play all season?

    Get f**cked

For the third manager running, Dean Smith is the latest to complain that his side didn't show enough desire and were a bit flat. Same comments were made by OGS and Wilder. Common theme is, Watford are fighting harder than their counterpart.

They have to find the right man, could easy employ a Flores, then it will be to late for them to sack another coach. I’ve a sneaky feeling slither will end up there. And have an initial bounce which keeps them up but the frauds already found out for next season.
