"They have an unusual squad for a mid-table team. "They have a squad full of very good players who are not normal to be in these mid-table teams. They have a good coach. Interesting comments from Mourinho..
Generally, after a bit of a delay, it's on the official site (contractual). Probably will be on in the next hour or two.
Watford put this https://www.watfordfc.com/teams/first-team/silva-our-way-our-philosophy without the video, only his words...
Good job we won the last 2 because the next 2 are very tough. Be interesting to see where we’re at now.
Man UTD Squad for tomorrow: David de Gea Sergio Romero Joel Pereira Matteo Darmian Antonio Valencia Daley Blind Marcos Rojo Victor Lindelof Chris Smalling Ashley Young Jesse Lingard Ander Herrera Paul Pogba Nemanja Matic Scott McTominay Juan Mata Anthony Martial Zlatan Ibrahimovic Marcus Rashford Romelu Lukaku Man UTD without Mkhitaryan,Fellaini,Baily,Shaw,Phil Jones and Carrick
They travelled with 20 players, its normal, is a away match for them... Will be a 3º GK Joel Pereira and 1 more out...
It might be a good idea to give Deeney a Game apart from Smalling there aren¨t many big guys in the team.
3-1 to us Gray hatrick , in the post match interviews announces he’s been taken the piss and does actually know where the goal is
Link to the MU Red Cafe forum thread, bit strange that most seem to think we will win or saying happy to take the point etc. http://www.redcafe.net/matches/watford-vs-manchester-united.196/discussion On a human level feel a bit sad for their supporters (even the London ones) after what's happened to that club in the last few years & that they are overshadowed by City nowadays. Shows how the mighty fall. Never forget that one day Junction 10 could be saying that, thankfully though not in any of our lifetimes.
Wow that ain’t what you expect from an opposition forum, lots of balanced analysis, good mix of realism , bit of respect and I read two pages and they did not go off topic once.
Same team as the one that played Newcastle and aslong as we go there with the right Mentality, I cant see why we dont get anything less than a Draw. United Dont score enough goals when put under pressure, We are quite a good team when it comes to pressuring the Opposition. Doucoure has to marshall Pogba, Feminia has to watch Rashford/Martial and the Likes of Gray and Richarlison need there shooting boots on to get past De Gea. 1-1 Richarlison to score before an Annoying Lukaku equaliser.
Going to be a very tough game. The good news for us is that our boys tend to raise their levels against the top 6. Definitely one of those games that no result will be surprising, unless it’s an absolutely smashing. Could see us winning just as likely as them winning or a draw. Think a lot will depend on their tiredness as this is their 3rd game in 6 days. They had a very tough game against Brighton. Whereas we had a stroll along the beach against Newcastle. I also think they will find it more important to beat Arsenal at the weekend as strange as that sounds. Think Mourinho will be happy to take a point. First goal will be important. If we get, it forces them to come at us a bit more, which plays into our hands. If they get it, Mourinho will park the bus and play for a 1-0. Heart says a Watford a win, 2-1 Head says a narrow 1-0 loss.
My word how United have fallen, it wasn't long ago that you used to be able to name most their players (Like you could for City). Just checked their squad and who the **** is Romeo, Pereyra, Tuanzabe, Billy, Damian, Yoyo, McTomas, Lindendorf, Mhitkarkarnaya? We should win this comfortably, Bourinho will park the bus and try and grind out a 1-0 win or a bore-draw but they won't be ready for Richarlison, Hughes and Doucoure. If you're a betting man, Hughes anytime scorer at 10/1 looks juicy, or Watford -1 handicap. At least Spurs will be a challenge on Saturday.
If ever a supporter of a football team ought to realise that a player's ability isn't necessarily reflected in his fame, a Watford fan ought to. Who the f*** were Doucoure, Zeegelaar, Pereya or Richarlison?
Guess who has us down to lose... Merson thinks we will get a point.. Jose won't be parking the bus I guess which might help us but we will need to be tight at the back - Gomes cannot always save us!
I really like Pereya and keep hoping/anticipating he will suddenly display some of the best football the world has ever seen to propel a smallish Hertfordshire town with dubious architectural merits to eternal global ducking glory. But I don't see who you can drop to give him a start at the moment? Hughes has been awesome, irrespective of the goals some of his touches/passes under pressure to open up play have been sublime. Doucoure, Cleverley and Richarlison are undroppable. Incredible options with chalobah to come back.
Btw, our cat is called Romeo. Refuge moggy & he seemed to answer to it so we kept it. The only snag was when the pest went missing after a couple of weeks. No sighting after two days so I did indeed have to cruise the neighbourhood bellowing his name. Bad news: no cat forthcoming. Good news: no one else forthcoming. Happy ending. The cat materialised in the kitchen on the morning of the Swansea game.
Going missing is one thing you can't accuse Gray of, which is a hopeful sign that things will come good for him.
