Blackburn often do pepper the box with crosses. Not clear why as Armstrong is obviously not the biggest, but they will be whipping a lot of balls in. That said, I see where you're coming from. Derby fans on Twitter seem a little mixed about their lineup. No Clarke (injured) who is easily their best CB. Jozwiak, a big threat on his day but out of form, is dropped for Roberts. And Lee Gregory, who was starting to form a bit of a partnership up front in the last two games with Kazim-Richards, is out for an extra midfielder in Max Bird. Probably going to be less long-ball than in their wins v Wycombe and Boro.
I had this awful feeling Xisco would put Gray in. I do find the Troost inclusion odd. Decent side, far better than what he could of put out with a formation change. Something that was rumoured by the ESSO guy
Who would have thought six months ago when we signed Sierra Alta as our 6th choice CB, we'd be gutted when he is rested for a game.
Looks like Derby are trying to match us with 433. We need to get the first goal and follow it up with a quick second. Feels like this game could be what determines if we go up automatically or not. Win this and the boys will believe. Got to have the right mindset and don’t do anything stupid. Need Chalobah to stay on his feet tonight. He’s a red card walking. This ref will send him off without hesitation. Would have started Gosling over him to be honest.
You're not wrong but every game in the Championship feels like that. Win tonight and then we'll all be saying come Tuesday "ah if we can beat Blackburn, a decent side, away from home that we'll show we're in the hunt" and then we'll be onto "ah if we can beat Bournemouth at the Vitality that we'll show that we're a serious force in the division" etc etc by next weekend.
Could have been a late night tangle with the older ladies..... No idea why Sierralta has been dropped. Same as before get at them from the start.
Sky rubbing one out on Rooney at the moment. If Horgan can have fun and Mehmeti then Sarr and Sema should have a party tonight. Forsythe cannot be up to much these days. Think they will try and sit Bird on Hughes or double team him. Troost and Cathcart will need to get that ball forward at times. Hughesy come on.
Derby have a significant aerial threat from set pieces so why has Sierralta our best aerial defender been left out, it does not compute
As far as drinking games are concerned, as Troost is now playing we need to add ‘down a bottle of spirits’ if the commentator mentions that bloody story about him already having a house in Hertfordshire.
Not amazing half of football, uncharacteristically look a little shakey at the back. A few moments of Premier League standard football the difference though and I’ll take that.
Good half. Not convincing but we expected a good contest. Two quick fire goals have us on top,but we still need to concentrate for the next 45.
We have Cathcart playing, so we will look uncertain at the back. 2-0 at half time, not too bad so far.
Poor from Bachmann. Cathcart is so slow on the ball. We’re missing Sieralta both in the air and ball at feet. And Sema is just meh. Xisco might want to contemplate some changes,
Kiko and Sarr are causing problems but I want more. King Ken looks a little leggy to me. Could see him replaced at HT. 2 yellows centrally is not good either. Just need to up the intensity even more and we will score more. Agreed with @WillisWasTheWorst I'd be very unhappy with their disallowed goal.
