What a match this is! Reading by far the best team we have faced and world class finishing is the only difference.

This isn't over by a long chalk. We need to stop Yiadom,Sema or someone need to stop him feeding it through to Olise. We need a third. Pity about the offside. Brilliant from Sarr,keep getting him at their left back.
Aside from the two magic finishes and a spell of a couple of minutes around the forty minute mark we have been poor. Gifting the ball away from the back and into midfield and upfront. Pedro running the ball out, Sema bumbling about, Zinckernagel not decisive enough, Chalobah ball watching. Femenia overhitting a simple pass. Reading have some very good players. Olise is fabulous but we are allowing after going two nil up them to dictate. Willing to sit back instead of getting a third and unable to control the ball. We need a rocket at half time. If they get one and they have come close this will become a toss up as to who comes out on top. Passivity will not do for us. We need to impose ourselves again and when we have we look on another level. But for two minutes only ? Not good enough. Get the ball to feet, control the ball and move at pace forwards.
Every time Troost has the ball at his feet I start to panic. We are on tv once a weekish at the mo and I can see he isn’t comfortable playing out from the back. Why can’t xisco or Bachman see who see him more than I do!? Hospital balls not needed this close to the end!

That one just before HT was inexcusable. No pressure, looked up and played the one pass you're categorically told never to play.
They're trying their hardest to eff it up. Some of the passing is absolutely ridiculous out of the defence. Hopefully he's laid into them.

Saw that out relatively comfortable second half. Agreed about Sanchez, proved to be a really good signing.
This was one of the toughest fixtures in the run in, and although we won it wasn't a comfortable win despite the scoreline. Zinckernagel I thought played well today and Sanchez brought a calmness to the game we sorely missed with Chalobah's more energetic yet risky play style. Sema and Ekong had shocking games though but hopefully neither of Chalobah's or Ekong's injuries are long lasting. Reading will rightly feel they should have had a draw but ultimately they couldn't finish very presentable chances that represent why they aren't higher up the table despite their quality. That Pedro incident to me looked a red card and was needlessly petulant and risky. But, a win is a win and that's invaluable as well which cannot he overstated. We withstood a 25 minute onslaught after our goals, composed ourselves and professionally saw out the 2nd half in relative comfort sacrificing our attacking instincts in doing so. Also, Daniel Bachmann with *that* save at the end gives the 7-a-side keeper in me feel warm and fuzzy.
Well sorted by Xisco for the 2nd half. Reading hardly had a sniff. But he’s only a lottery winner after all.
